Publisher's summary

A deadly harp. A ruthless devil. Just another day in my life.

The Dagda’s Harp can control the seasons. It has fallen into the hands of the demons of the Red Cavern. They are using it to keep Pittsburgh in a permanent winter.

My fellow citizens are dying from the extreme conditions.

To get the Harp, I’ll need to infiltrate a demonic underworld where I experienced major trauma. I’ll also need to leave my unhatched dragon eggs behind.

Unfortunately, I’m the only one suited for this job. If I can gain entry, there’s still no guarantee I’ll find the magical relic.

The people of Pittsburgh need me. They’ve suffered enough.

I can’t wait any longer. It's time to shapeshift and go on an undercover mission.

Entertaining

Book 3 of the Scarlet Dragon saga is my favorite so far in the series. This story has plenty of action, entertainment, and emotional tugging on the heart strings to immerse readers into this world. My only struggle with this story is balancing my expectations for a 500 + year old individual and her impulsiveness for running into danger without a backup plan. The narrator did a good job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Good story

Great story full of action, adventure, and magic. The main character is strong and willing to do anything to save her city, even if it means going back to the place that left her almost dead last time she was there.

Better than book 2

Parents: not for under 18.
Language: just as bad as book 2 (Fbombs, rated R)
Violence: lots of gore, murder, etc
Sexual content: rape references, genitalia mentioned

It's a better story than book 2, the tale is more gripping and has better flow. Again, the language amount takes away from how good of a story this is but at least it was less than what was in book 2. Also, June seems a little flippant with her life goals and as a main character that’s really frustrating. I’d give book 4 a shot but if this level of language worsens I might have to sadly give up on this series.

Narrator: ok, differentiations could be better

I’m really enjoying this series...

This is a great series! The heroine is pretty unique, and the narrator really brings her to life. This book wrapped up a few things for the reader, gave us more interesting pieces to a few puzzles, and shocked us with a few new plot lines. The characters are well written and the dialogue is very enjoyable. I can’t wait for the next one!

Best book yet

June doesn’t disappoint in book 3!
She is a complex character who pushes through the endless betrayals and heart break. She is determined. I love the crossovers with the sister series!

Enjoyed it!!!
