Excellent Overview of Self-Care for Black Women
I was particularly impressed with the narration of this title! Ms. Steele is the perfect "voice" of this book. Her delivery is assured and forceful, yet also warm and engaging. She brings the self-care exercises described by Ms. Smith to life with her empathetic articulation and tone. The book deals with the various "pressure points" that Black women often experience while navigating their careers, relationships, and families. It provides a "toolbox" that Black women can use to enhance their self-confidence, improve their communication skills, and achieve desired outcomes in the aforementioned areas. Via affirmations, inspirational quotes and anecdotes, Ms. Smith deftly encourages Black women to live their best. most fulfilling lives. A great listen!

This book “Self-Care For Black Women”, was an amazingly and helpful book for me, I was and still I’m struggling with self confidence issues, once I got a hold of it and just listened to the first few chapters I knew this book would be help, being a black women who’s having much trouble with the way I perceive myself, Self-Care For Black Women is the first and a major step in the empowerment of this black women, I will most definitely recommend this book to all my girlfriends, it’s a must read or listen. BLACK WOMEN EMPOWERMENT!!!!

Amazing self-care book
I absolutely love Self-Care for Black Women because it was full of thoughtful, positive affirmations and great guides to better know your worth. The self-improvement tactics helped me be more confident and fight fears that have grown over the years. This book is super relevant today and I recommend it for all women, especially black women.

The Self-Care We All Need
There are times where some times we know what's best for us, but don't know how to begin making those positive choices for ourselves. Enter this book. Listening to this audio book was listening to a friend giving me good advice and a pep talk. There are parts where certain topics aren't sugarcoated-- but the reality is that it's exhausting to be a person in this world, and even more so to be a woman of color in this society. Black women empowerment is so necessary for us to progress and also to take care of ourselves. I like to think this book helps with that, I know I came away feeling inspired. I recommend it to any interested to black women self-care.

Wonderful Read
"Self care for black women" is a powerful tool to equip in your arsenal of books for self discovery and potentially. This book is very powerful and has the potential to increase your self worth and self satisfaction with life. Great for black women self care and black women empowerment. You will learn a wide range of skills from affirmations to finding the beauty within and what family means to you. Loved this book and if you have time you should definitely pick it up, you wont regret it!

Best guide
Love this structure of this book. It’s basically a manual so you can turn to any page to find a tip for how you can prioritize black women self-care when you’re feeling low or in need of black women empowerment. I also appreciate that the author talks to the reader as if she is their (sister)friend and the attention she pays to unpacking misogynoir and the many ways it shows up for us. My main criticism is that some of the tips do a get a little repetitive and could have been fleshed out more/ less broad. That said, I’ll definitely take parts of what I learned here with me and hope this book is able to touch a lot of people

This was an awesome self help book.
I think this book was an amazing read. It was full of awesome information to help build sefl confidence. It gave some wonderful ways to build someone's self confidence. Especially if you were abused by people you loved or trusted. The abused that trust you had. I believe these ideas were well researched, and great to help others.
