Publisher's summary

Noah and Oscar have been married for five years, and now they’ve become parents to an adorable baby girl. Life seems just about perfect, but a sudden illness puts Noah’s sister Rebecca into a coma, which brings Noah’s mother and father back into his life. As they battle for control over the care of Rebecca, Noah must also defend his little family against his bigoted parents. Oscar and the Lozada clan have his back, but only Noah can truly stand up to his parents, once and for all - if he can find the courage to do it.

Surpasses the first book

I bought both books in this series at the same time and listened to them in one day, almost straight through. I loved them both, though I much prefer this one, which is sort of ironic since this one heavily focuses on Noah and I prefer Oscar. Seldom have I felt so emotionally connected to a story, more furious with the villains, and more engaged with a couple. I loved every minute and my heart was pounding throughout the crisis in the third act. The conclusion was satisfying--though I would have liked just a bit more of Oscar, to be honest, who was largely absent during the last hour or so. Oscar was magnificent throughout the book, and I like how the author kept his character consistent with the previous book. He's definitely still a bit rough around the edges, in the best way. I like that secondary characters aren't one dimensional.

Michael T. Bradley was outstanding in both books, despite Noah's unfortunate vocal resemblance to Leisure Suit Larry. I would absolutely seek out other audiobooks he has narrated. I'll add this book to my list of favorites to listen to many times over.

Amazing storyline

This is the sequel to Noah and Oscars story I was so excited to hear it. Love theses characters. There is a great storyline you have bad parents who are mean but you also have a great love that will conquer all. Great from start to finish. Loved it. The narrator did a great job with the characters.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed this follow up to The Troll Whisperer. Seeing Oscar and Noah settled snd with a baby is wonderful. When Noah’s sister becomes ill things get more complicated and difficult. Noah’s family turns up and are awful. This, of course, adds so much additional stress for these guys. Lots of emotions in this story and Michael T Bradley does an awesome job of bringing these characters to life!

Great continuation

This is a great follow up to the first. I really loved seeing the growth in Oscar so much and Noah getting some closure with his past. For me the narration was not the best. I enjoyed it for the first so I'm not sure what happened here. But overall it's a good story.

Love this sequel

It was great to see the two guys back again. They have matured a little and now are on their ways to be dads. I love that this story is from Noah's point of view. However, the poor easy going guy has a lot to deal with when it comes to his family. Luckily he has Oscar's family to support him. The narration was great. It fits the story so well. You could feel the drama in the story. Love the way he separates the guys voices.

Happy little family forever

Indeed the long-awaited sequel for the troll-whisperer! I’m so happy to get another glimpse into the life of Noah and Oscar. I missed these guys.

Noah and Oscar have been in a marital bliss for 5 years. They now have a cute and lovely daughter and they couldn’t have been happier. But we all know that life is a sadistic bastard and it has some plans to shake up Noah and Oscar’s life. Noah thought he was done for good with his folks but the illness of sister brought those two monsters back into his life. Noah has a long battle ahead to protect his lovely little family once and for all.

It was really like a D-day scenario for Noah and all of his worst fears came true. It was really infuriating to read about his folks that I almost wished I could strangle them to death. What a dramalama family! I was also frustrated with Noah and how soft-hearted he seemed at times but I’m really happy that he pulled through. Of course, Oscar is THE best boyfriend EVER though. I love how he’s supportive and caring of Noah. The Lozadas rocked too. I think if you loved the first book, this book is a must. Although it was frustrating and heart-wrenching at times, I promise it’s all worth in the end. The narrator Michael also did a great job portraying the story just like he did in the first one. I really enjoyed listening it. ❤️
