Shadows Over Saint Paloma: A Dark Psychological Thriller of Secrets, Control, and Betrayal, A Domestic Psychological Suspense of Love, Lies, Revenge, and Murder
On the secluded island of Saint Paloma, beauty hides dark secrets, and what appears serene is often filled with shadows. Tanya Richards is found dead in the eerie Whispering Pines, her life cut short in a chilling twist of control and betrayal. As her sister Natalie embarks on a desperate quest for answers, she peels away the layers of lies that masked her sister’s life—unearthing a darkness that permeates the people and places she once trusted.
Detective Maria Gonzales, haunted by her own past, is driven to see justice done for Tanya. As she digs deeper, secrets long buried threaten to destroy the community's peaceful facade and shatter everything she thought she knew about Eric Dalton, the charming and respected businessman whose obsession drove him to the edge.
Alternating between the perspectives of Natalie, Detective Maria, and Eric, this gripping psychological thriller takes readers on an emotional ride through secrets, love, lies, and revenge. The story doesn’t just reveal who took Tanya's life—it explores the darkness within relationships, the destructive power of control, and the strength required to fight for those we love.

Story
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

Story
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Story
To the wider world, Al Pacino exploded onto the scene like a supernova. He landed his first leading role, in The Panic in Needle Park, in 1971, and by 1975, he had starred in four movies—The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Serpico, and Dog Day Afternoon—that were not just successes but landmarks in the history of film. Those performances became legendary and changed his life forever. Not since Marlon Brando and James Dean in the late 1950s had an actor landed in the culture with such force.

She can think of plenty of things she’d rather be doing than placating a bunch of grumpy passengers.

I couldn’t get past the lack of originality for each character’s voice. All the characters were read the same way. Although a pleasant voice was chosen I could not get into the story and stopped listening after chapter 2.
