Story
Some people bounce back in response to setbacks; others break. We often think that these responses are hardwired, but fortunately this is not the case. Stoicism offers us an alternative approach. Plumbing the wisdom of one of the most popular and successful schools of thought from ancient Rome, philosopher William B. Irvine teaches us to turn any challenge on its head. The Stoic Challenge, then, is the ultimate guide to improving your quality of life through tactics developed by ancient Stoics, from Marcus Aurelius and Seneca to Epictetus.

Good book!
I got this book for my dad whi is not active. I like that it is 10 minutes a day only so very doable.
I also like that the exercises have different goals such as balance, weight loss and flexibility. As my dad is not knowledgeable when it comes to working out, I find the 28 day plan a good idea! He has no excuse of not know what exercises to do! The plan is there and he just needs to follow it!
Also, the affirmations at the end of the book is nice as they help with boosting motivation

Tried It and It Works!
I'm impressed, from the beginning, that it takes you through the advantages of the poses to the poses themselves ... to the routines. The music and counting both relax you and give an idea about timing. And it works! One of the exercises or poses is helpful for people who spend a long time in front of screens like me, which strains the head and neck. I felt much more relaxed and limber after doing the chair yoga! I think the best testimonial a person can give is that a book works ... and it does!

Gentle, Effective, and Surprisingly Uplifting
I got this for a family member, but ended up listening along out of curiosity—and I was genuinely impressed. The instructions are super clear, and the short daily sessions actually feel impactful without being overwhelming. The added tips on sleep and nutrition were a nice surprise and tied everything together in a way that felt supportive, not preachy. The 21-day challenge structure makes it easy to build consistency.

Gentle and effective chair yoga
This audiobook is an easy, down to earth approach to remain active without exerting traditional work-out strains. The steps are straightforward, and the exercises involving chairs are user friendly to attempt by any physical level. The organized manner is enjoyable, and particularly the 21 day challenge allows you easily to remain in sync. This emphasis on flexibility and well roundedness is good because it caters to body movement overall and is a broad based guide. If you want a smooth but effective way of building flexibility and strength, then this is a good place to start.
