Stories/plots were good. Having the robot reading was a bit different. Only when characters screamed or high energy would it really sound robotic. Different having a book read with all characters having same voice. Was humerus when robot would read certain words as just their letters like POW when someone was hit.

Held my attention.

I liked the story line, the characters were ok, but I could not get into the series because of the monotone voice reading and had a hard time following who was who and actually enjoying the series because of the voice. I am looking for the series with a different voice or even a physical copy to read.

The Virtual reading voice is terrible

I enjoyed this book. I thought the story was cute and the characters were warming.

However, using virtual voice to narrate a fiction book is pretty cheap. I have to say that I am a blind woman and I use virtual voice for many things and no matter how much you try you cannot make it human. And if you listen carefully to the book, you can see or hear the areas that are lacking, and the fact that no one went back in and corrected, how the voice pronounced certain words. So the reason I only gave the book at three was because of the virtual voice. I really would prefer people reading my books with character and excitement and different voices. But if you can see and read, perhaps his book would be better read rather than listen to with the multitude of errors in it.

Interesting story lines and characters, however the narration made it difficult to enjoy. I would recommend reading rather than listening to this title.

Not a fan of Virtual Voice

AI reader made this hard to listen to! All characters sound identical,. Idiomatic expressions like "For Pete's sake" are really awkward and its obvious this is not read by a human. Also, saying gold instead of golf and misspeaking pronouns frequently. YUK.

The further I got in this series the worse it got. After awhile it sounded like I was listening to broken English. The grammar is awful. The names are often wrong. I won’t even finish listening to this

Weak storylines. Doesn’t hold attention. The AI reader is poor. A lot of political nonsense that is bunk.

The storyline was good. I did find the use of certain phrases and words repetitive. I strongly disliked the computer generated narration. Although the voice itself sounds realistic, it is very unnatural. Somewhat monotone, and the correct emphasis on words and punctuation were used improperly or not at all. It's as if someone was reading a line of text, without any clue where to end a sentence or insert any type of emotion.

This story line running through this series is sweet and engaging enough, but it was all I could do to continue listening. Predictably, the inflection is very machine-like and all wrong. Additionally, voices were not consistent for the characters, often making it difficult to discern which was speaking.

It is true that we mostly get what we pay for, but the virtual narration does a great disservice to the author’s work.
