Publisher's summary

A mysterious dragon, an army of orcs and goblins, and a kingdom is born.

The battle with the bandits is over, and the companions turn toward building the village of Alem’s Crossing. At the same time, Arthur is thrust into his new reality after discovering his true heritage.

The young thief, Rayne, raids a noble’s treasury to find nothing more than disappointment and a hidden note. Given a quest of divine origin, he gathers a group of refugees to flee the city and head for the promise of a better life in the small village of Alem’s Crossing, on the edge of the kingdom.

The champions of the gods take the field in clashes of might, and the ancestral bond of dragons returns. Can Arthur succeed in his task and reclaim the soul bond before time runs out? Will Rayne make it to his destination before tragedy strikes?

The LitRPG adventure heats up with more fighting, more crafting, and, of course, more city building.

I think this was better than the first.

The mc is op of course but the villains are also. I'll buy the next book but I hope the story quality goes up.

Enjoyable! OP for crafting and fair in fights

I enjoyed the characters and their interactions. The story is linear but good. That level up messages are a bit repetitive, which is easier to manage in paper or electronic but more of a pain on audible. The thing that struck me the most is the magic and crafting outside of combat was over powered with huge long term implications. Opposed to that the hero was not overpowered in his battles. I appreciate that. I will definitely listen to the next one!

Great, for about half

So starts off great with the MC doing all the stuff he forgot in the first. Using most his abilities. Until about half way through. Then missed work orders, not buying new talents and not using his abilities.

He literally has a dimensional storage but says he doesnt carry a bow with him because he doesnt want to carry it WHILE HE LITERALLY HAS HIS STOARAGE OPEN.

Then he earns the soul binding skill and makes rare armor and then NEVER soul binds things. No rock golem summoning, no using the cursed ring he found, not making new rings with enchantments. Tons of stuff just fell flat. It's like the author gave up half ways through , especially the talents, he earns tons and bonus stuff and never uses it as he gets it, wasting tons of bonuses for enchanting and crafting.

The book itself is fine and okay adventure but seeing him being such a idoit just makes it hard to like. It's like a person with a wagon needing to carry stuff from A to B and instead of using the wagon, they do it by hand moving things one at a time. It's just stupidly annoying.

Extremely boring

Where do I start? The first book had its problems, but it was tolerable. This one is boring the entire way through. The mc is incompetent and objectively stupid. He makes stuff explode constantly while crafting but it never occurs to him to harness it. He makes 0 use of the fact he has knowledge of advanced concepts and technology. He focuses on plumbing and making toilets. He gets unique bonuses for making original spells and the dude doesnt exploit it. Its all so obvious that the only way the mc can be overlooking it is that he is genuinely an idiot. Then the story itself is hilariously generic. Its one massive trope. The only conflict is with a character that loses their mind randomly and becomes totally irrational. Then the conclusion of this entire series is spoiled in the prologue. Good god.

Congratulations! You have heard "Congratulations "

Story is moderately repetitive to averagely okay . performance was adequate, as in not good due to somewhat stodgy and wooden delivery, with moments of disproportionate enthusiasm , especially when uttering the words "Congratulations ", but also not so bad as to be disappointed.

The key for me in a lit of these books is the level of sophistry in their prose. This one was lacking sophistication. However it was not bad, just not at a certain level.

it is a better choice to spend your credits on than many, many, many terrible choices on Audible.

well...

well I like the story I like Mc I like that his faults are their. honestly hate cliffhanger and I honestly think that the repeating the another of the exp. with the other stuff he repeats is a little annoying. other then that I really like the world and how it's built.the way it is a great world with a lot of ways it can go. well I would recommend this to some who likes or loves litrpg. hope you listen.
