About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author, Kristen Proby, comes Spells, the next installment in her gripping Bayou Magic series…

As a powerful hedgewitch and psychic, there isn’t much I can’t work to my advantage and finesse with a spell. Love, fortune, and even the perfect cup of coffee are all possible with the snap of my fingers.

But some things are utterly beyond my control.

Like the powerful and broody warlock who’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember - and even the lifetimes I often can’t. Things almost as dangerous as Lucien Bergeron’s hold on me and the breathtaking smiles only I get to see.

Or the evil still stalking the streets of New Orleans that beckons to me to see. To feel. To die.

With everything riding on a razor's edge, and things that have been portended coming to fruition, threatening both me and those I love, I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to resist my fate. Or his charm.

If I work with Lucien, it could mean the end for both of us.

If I don’t, those I love most will pay.

Love Proby in NOLA

Good addition to the series and I know this is not the last one but I thought there would be a bigger battle at the end. Some chanting and it was done. Also, figuring out who was helping him was easy. How exactly is the partner not going to jail since if any of the men are alive they will tell the cops who tortured them and killed the others. Still think something's up with Esme, she said too many inappropriate things to be innocent. Other than that I look forward to the last book coming out October 19th.

So spooky!

This series has been just what I needed for Halloween! The creepiness and the paranormal is perfect for this time of year and I'm eating it up! Millie and Lucien's story was so good! These souls that have been intertwined for many lifetimes and this time their power is great as they combine with their loved ones.

This story was fast paced and I loved it. The darkness of the story was a little hard to stomach at times, but it was an amazingly detailed story that puts you right there. Great read!

The narrators did an amazing job getting you right there in the story.

A Great PNR Soulmates story

Spells in the second book in the Bayou Magic series. This book is Millie and Lucian's story. They are soulmates, and they have lived and loved hundreds of lifetimes together that Lucians remember that Millie does not. The killer is back and is hunting again, this time targeting those who look like Lucian. This PNR is atmospheric and the romance is gorgeous. The warned that the POV of the serial killer is dark and unsettling. Still, the audiobook is fantastic, and it the story isn't complete yet! Next is Jackson and Daphne’s story, which ends the trilogy.

Speechless

I am sitting here stunned, but so in love with the love story between Millie and Lucian. I’ve read this book twice now, but the audio takes it to a whole other level. 100% in love with this series!

Jason Clarke as a serial killer….. wow 🤯

The paranormal factor, holy cow. Kristen Proby has that part nailed. I felt like I was watching a movie. The serial killer and suspense, absolutely nailed it.

I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel when reading a paranormal romance series, but it’s a Kristen Proby book, so an automatic one click. I fell in love with this story. Yes, it has a serial killer in it with some crazy good suspense. But at the same time a love story for the ages with Millie and Lucian. It’s one of those love stories that make you smile and think “this is why I read romance.” I can’t say I’ve read anything like theirs before.

Spells is book 2 in the Bayou magic series and it was phenomenal. This one follows Millie, who is the middle sister and a practicing witch. Book 1 was Brielle, the oldest sister. Serendipity will be the youngest sister Daphne’s sorry.

This was a hands down, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ across the board.

Incredible!

Okay, Who hasn’t read any of Kristen Proby’s books? These ones however are quite different. I will review as a whole(they can be stand alone books): A Bayou Magic series.

Book 1: Shadows ⅘ stars
Book 2: Spells ⅘ stars
Book 3: Serendipity 5/5 stars

By: Kristen Proby
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Lee Samuels

I read/listen to these books very slowly…I mean, to the point it took me weeks to go through…First off, I am into paranormal suspense but this was a whole different ball game considering that romance became secondary in each book. I, also, was a bit terrified with the storyline and the villain. Yet, the great chemistry between all the sisters was quite spectacular and so engaging to me. The killer, POV, gave me the creeps, for sure and such intensity that you just don’t like to continue on but you have to. Yes, these books will bring you a tailspin of mystery, wonder, excitement, and what the heck moments.
It starts with Book 1: Brielle and Cash, to Book 2: Millie & Lucien, to Book 3: Daphne & Jackson. There is a twisted sociopath in a killing spree, trying to get these 3 ladies' attention and being witches, they are all trying to figure out how to magically stop him. There are so many intense scenes that are well-written that yes, these scenes do spook you a bit. Samantha, Jason, & Lee were outstanding considering they took me right there in the story, the environment felt so authentic, it’s not even funny. They were all spot on, especially Jason Clarke. Holy Cow, I am not used to him being creepy but he was just so good! He lost me in his character, all of them did!! Samatha emphasizes each female character so well. The best sister for me is Daphne & man, Lee being each hero that protectioness, sizzles me timbers!!!!! I swear, this is such a chilling listen that it is fitting for Halloween season. So, for me, it’s unusual to read/listen to these stories but I was in the spirit of Halloween. This is by far, besides mafia romance, the creepiest & darkest I’ve done. So, if you want to get outside of the box, a lot of paranormal suspense, and keep you on your toes, this is it!!!
