Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author S.E. Smith presents another adventure filled with action, suspense, and love worth fighting for.

Allie Whitewater was used to living between two worlds. She embraced the Native American heritage of her father and the white heritage of her mother. She was happy with both and didn't have the identity crisis many of her friends had. Growing up on a large working ranch in Montana, she had no desire to live in town, or worse, a large city. She planned on spending the rest of her life on the ranch her father started.

Jacob Tucker enjoys building up the ranch he and his twin brother, Jonathan, had settled. Sure, there are dangers - rustlers, the harsh environment, Indians - but he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. He is happy with life in the Montana territory and never once thinks there could be something, or someone, out there that could make him change his mind. But change it does when he leaves his ranch in 1867 and travels to 2013. The world has changed a lot, and so have the women - namely one called Allie Whitewater. She has the mouth of a cowpuncher, the body of an angel, and the temper of the devil. Now all he has to do is get her back to his time and hold her so tight she won't miss her fancy metal wagons and flying carriages.

Jacob thinks his plan is foolproof. He just needs to kidnap Allie long enough to make her never want to return to her world. But things change as tension between the redskins and the white settlers and the army escalate. When the two cultures clash, it is up to Allie to show she is capable of walking in both worlds. She will prove to the whites that she is a force to be reckoned with, and she will prove to her ancestors that she is a spirit warrior who will fight to the death to protect her hasánni, her mate.

Strong, feisty, and determined. . .

SE Smith always take me on an adventure with her writing, plots, and the characters. I have stepped in to another addition to the Spirit Pass series. I found that Allie and Jacob had a connection. I found Allie to be sassy, spirited, and strong. She dealt with a lot in her young life and it was getting to that point where she could not take any more. Jacob Tucker came in to her life and made her feel again and she was not sure how to process this. Watching as the two find a way to connect and move deeper was enjoyable. Samantha Cook added her brand of special-ness to the characters and provide a very enjoyable listen. The audio was smooth and clear.

Great sequel

What was one of the most memorable moments of Spirit Warrior?

When I first started listening, the book picks up telling the ending of the first story. After a while I thought what gives here? Then I realized that the story was adding the thoughts and story of Allie into the other story. From then on, I listened for the new story and was quite pleased.

Have you listened to any of Samantha Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to the first story in the series. Both were excellent. She has a wonderful voice and does both male and female very well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Oh, I hate to share the moment that I broke down and cried. Allie had a first love who had been seriously injured and in a coma. The last scene with him was heart breaking.

Any additional comments?

There is a lot of humor in the book. Several times my husband asked me what I was laughing about. The brothers rode in a truck, a plane, found the internet, and other things. I enjoyed the story and the performance. Now I am going to see if there is a third story since there is another sister.

You go girl!

Time travel is intriguing enough but add in a feisty Ali and an old fashioned values Jacob and the story kicked off in an amusing humorous light and built into danger, lust and choice to be made. Loved it great job SE snd Samantha.

Time Travel Romance, Pt2

Allie Whitewater decides to visit her friend Indiana's new home for 2 weeks, after helping her pack in supplies. When they cross thru Spirit Pass, she barely has time to understand the magic and mystery, when Jacob Tucker kidnaps her away to claim her. They gradually learn to trust each other as they spend more time together. When a menace from Jacob's past attacks, Allie finally lets herself overcome her fears of losing her love. Best enjoyed as an extension of book 1, but there's enough overlap in story- Jonathan & Jacob traveling to rescue Indiana, & Jacob meeting Allie & her family, that you don't have to. Better than many romance efforts out there, but lightweight. Loses some points because of the overlapping section. Cook does a creditable job with narration.

Feisty Lady

This is more my type of book. Sorry to all you out there who want all of the over blown, drawn out sex scenes. This story certainly kept me from having to fast forward through chapter after chapter. As far as the complaint's of the repeat of the first book? Well this one read form the guy side of the chase for Indiana. I loved Allies spunky attitude. S.E.Smiths humor is always a favorite with me. But had to get the tissue out for a short time. Which is not my style as a rule. Samantha Cook did a great job of narrating also. Cannot wait for Aleah's (guessing on the spelling) story. As I am hoping she makes the story go as I would like to see it happen.

Great book.

The only thing I didn't care for was not using contractions in some of the dialogue, but other than that I love this book!

Good Book

This book is just as good as the first book. Make you want a third book. But not sure where it would go in the story line.
