Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA TODAY best-selling author Clarissa Wild brings you Stalker, a dark romance, which is a stand-alone without cliffhanger.

F--k me once, I'll f--k you twice...then I'll bury you.

No prison can keep me from seeking revenge. Especially when it comes to her.

She, the woman who put me in jail.

I swore that I'd come for her, to claim what belongs to me: her life.

I'm not a good man. On the contrary, I love to be bad. It's in my veins. Just like it's in my veins to ruin her.

She's an actress, pretending to be a saint, but we both know that isn't true. One way or another, she'll pay for what she did.

I will hunt for her. Make her fear me. Make her body mine.

Bad deeds never go unpunished...and I always go out with a bang.

Warning: This book isn't rainbow sprinkles and unicorn fluff. It's a dark, thrilling journey of two people clashing over love, lust, and hatred. Heed the warning. Contains graphic violence, alcohol, drugs, and other disturbing content.

Stalker has a prequel called Killer, which is optional but recommended to be heard first.

Stalker has come to life

Where does Stalker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book was one of my favorites I have listened to so far. I couldn't stop listening and didn't want the book to end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Stalker?

I think the end of the book was the part that I remember the most. It was something I didn't see coming and it was perfect! It was not your normal ending and will leave you like 'What?!'

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book. It was well written and the narrator kept me listing. The performance of the book was perfect. It was a book I didn't want to end. This book flowed in all parts and all of the characters came to life with every word. I can't wait to see what other books Clarissa Wild writes.

I am stalking the Stalker

I love books and audiobooks by Clarissa Wild. I will not lie about that. The characters and the storylines are always amazing and full of depth. The characters in this one make you take a look at yourself and wonder what lies you would be caught in. I have to say though having a certain surprise from Clarissa may have made me love it even more. The narration was spot on for this audio just like her previous audios!

Loved this story, so many twists and turns

I always take it with a grain of salt when people say a relationship is built from Stockholm syndrome in a book and this is one case where I'm glad I didn't listen to that nonsense. I could explain each piece of my reasoning, but there are some things that just can't be reasoned away or explained to those that don't want to hear it. The characters in this book are not heroes, they aren't even close. So if you're looking for a white knight and an innocent woman in distress, you won't find it here so keep moving. These characters had so much depth to their personalities and they were so complex that to try and level them as one thing is a disservice to them. The author did a wonderful job of fleshing out two people that were of their own mold and for together despite the ways they'd hurt one another, or maybe even because of them. The narration was subpar, I must admit, and both male and female narrators sounded like basically just reading from a script. That said, it didn't ruin the story for me at all and it couldn't keep the writing from enthralling me. If you're very picky about narrators, you may want to listen to the sample first. Like I said, they were horrible and they used inflections to show emotions, but they still sounded flat. If you're looking for something specific, like a little light kink, once again, move on. This book is raw and gritty, and makes no apologies for it. There's physical and emotional abuse from all directions when they're in the thick of it too. But at it's core are two messed up people that share a crazy, special kind of love and I truly enjoyed hearing it. This one certainly is not for everyone, but if you want something real, this is it.

SEX, REVENGE, HATRED, COULD IT BE LOVE...

Would you consider the audio edition of Stalker to be better than the print version?

Yes, loved the dual narration back and forth between the characters. It's narrated by a male POV and female (although doesn't state that) and must say he was a very sexy reader as Phoenix.

If you’ve listened to books by Clarissa Wild before, how does this one compare?

No this is a first, it's a very dark suspense/romance about being betrayed & getting revenge on the person who betrayed you. It keeps you on the edge of your seat right until the end,so if you're after hot erotica, filled with tension, twists & lots of heat, bought to life by 2 expressive narrators then this audible book is for us!

Which character – as performed by Jennifer Ann – was your favorite?

My favorite was the male character of Phoenix. Vanessa took a while to like, but began to connect with both the characters as the book flowed with so much energy.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

REVENGE IS SWEET AND SPICY

Any additional comments?

It's going to be a bumpy ride of a listen... Enjoy :)

Dark and twisted

Freakishly dark and twisted. Phoenix and Vanessa have the ultimate love-hate relationship. Shocking twists and turns. So wrong you can't help but like it and hope for their evil souls.

LOVE CW but this ones a miss

The story jumps around, not just from past to present but moment to moment. What I mean by that is when you build a scene in your mind you visualize it right? I noticed multiple instances of characters doing saying one thing then boom they are doing something else. I think it's a lack of detail. It left me feeling like the story and what was happening was kind of blurry. Also, a bunch of stuff was really unbelievable with no reason as to how it could be possible.- One scene made me nuts: They dig a tunnel to escape under a fence( or wall I dunno) from prison. Somehow the tunnel is big enough to jump down into and walk through?!? He apparently dug it himself… in like no time and nobody saw or discovered it.
Besides that people places and things just show up and disappear from the storyline with absolutely no explanation!
Last but certainly not least..the narration was not good! Despite the awesomeness of dual narrators it just didn't work. The story def needs work but I think the voices really sank it unfortunately.
While I'm glad iv listened to this now, I wish I dint use a credit and I prob would not get it if I had a do over.
Save your credit and get Mr.X —- actually one of the best parts of the book was a brief surprise Mr.X appearance in a flash back! I love little winks like that. Kinda made me want to listen to Mr.X again!

Steamy and Surprising

Would you consider the audio edition of Stalker to be better than the print version?

Both are good. I like audiobooks for when I'm working or commuting. I love to actually read when I have down time.

Any additional comments?

Ms. Wild does it again! I really loved this book, so the audio version was a must-have. I like the narrator, and of course, I love the story. This one isn't for the faint of heart. It's definitely an adult book. I'm a fan of insta-hate-turned-love, so I enjoyed this. :D

Erotic and Beautiful!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this to adults who like their erotic romance dark, kinky and totally unpredictable.
This was a whole new level of sensuality and Danger with a helping of depravity. I read it before but actually listening and hearing was like I was a witnessing the whole thing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Stalker?

When the truth finally came out... the raw emotions Phoenix went through just slammed into me.

What about Jennifer Ann’s performance did you like?

She can really deliver the goods... I definitely felt every emotion and experienced all the anguish, loss and also the erotic scenes were delivered with realism.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

This story grabs you immediately and doesn't let go. There is so much going on with a large cast of characters that all have an agenda. I just couldn't stop. I had to follow the story, I just had to know how it was going to come together. ..... and holy hell, did it ever!

Fantastic

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I loved how the male parts were narrated by a male and the female parts narrated by a female rather than the one or the other inflecting their voices to differentiate between them. It made this book stand out from all the other audios I have ever listen to and made this one so much better.

What other book might you compare Stalker to and why?

I couldn't compare Stalker to any other book. It is highly unique not only for its plot but also its narration. The plot is twisty and turny, I never knew what was going to actually happen in the end. The dark and twisted characters had me enthralled and unable to stop wanting them to win each other. And the narration was the best I had heard ever.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is at the end. It is the big twist and I loved it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!! It was so hard to turn it off for any reason. I will be listening to this one again.

Any additional comments?

I have been very verbose about the narration, but I can't seem to brag on it enough! Jennifer Ann was THE perfect voice for Vanessa. It matched the one I had in my head perfectly after reading the book. Phoenix's voice was vastly different but once I got use to Clarissa Wild's vision of it I really got into it. They worked well off each other and they brought this book to life. This was truly one of the best audio books I have listened to and I loved how it was made immensely!! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys audio and twisted characters.
