About this listen

Summerhill is a dog with a problem: He isn't exactly sure who he is. Living alone in a desolate world as its only inhabitant, he has no memories of his previous life - only the tantalizing clue that the answers he seeks may lie with a mysterious woman named Katherine, the hostess on a cruise ship that sails between dimensions.

But Katherine has problems of her own, and if Summerhill wants her help in unlocking the secrets of his past, he'll have to help Katherine deal with hers.

Together the two will travel to different worlds, different times, and different universes in a journey where the possible and impossible can be tough to separate, and where the rules of reality can change as easily as weather.

Please note: This time-travel story intentionally includes chapter numbers out of sequence. It begins with Chapter 2.

Holy cow

This book was phenomenal. I've always loved the nerrator's work, then combine it with a book I personally think rivels books like the Great Gatsby in terms of storyline (actually way better, I didn't like The Great Gatsby) and you get a great book. I almost cried, I yelled out in anger, and felt pain for this character. I definitely recommend

Mind Blowing. I keep coming back to this book .

I loved it. My mind's eye is open and staring in awe at the wonders in these Chronicles. I truly hope there are many many sequels with Summerhill. Eighth time I've listened to this.

Astounding

I can't believe how engaged I was with this story! I got through it in 2 days, faster than any other audio book, and can't wait to listen again, something I've never wanted with any other book, traditional or otherwise.
I can't tell if I want a sequel or if it's perfectly self-contained, but I know I love it.

Reads like a good fanfiction

I was absolutely enthralled with the story and characters, but some things just felt kind of out of place. The whole otter side story was interesting, but didn't feel like it exactly fit in the grand scheme of things. I enjoyed it, but it could've had more attention put into making it more impactful. The dialogue gets pretty cliche but honestly it can be charming. Summerhill as a character is wonderful and I can't say anything bad about any of the others. Those things aside, I can give nothing but praise and love to the author and their creation. It's clear that tons of passion was put into this. I loved this book from start to finish and I'm sure I'll reread it sometime soon.

A wonderfully inventive science fiction adventure

This was a wonderfully inventive science fiction adventure, spanning across time and space. The characters and locales were fresh and creative. The narrator did an excellent job portraying the various characters.

A nice read, but definitely not worth $20+

This is fanfiction levels of storytelling. That's not to disparage the story or the narrator; in fact, I consume a lot of fanfics like this. But $20+? Yes we all have to eat, but I hope that's split three-way between the author, narrator, and publisher.

Story is quite good; contains lots of descriptions you can get lost in. A bit more world building could have been done; but then again, this seems to be an adventure novel directed to teenage Americans, and a lot of them find that boring.

Narrator is definitely better than TTS. But as you can surmise, that's a very low bar to surpass. I think he can only do at most two distinct character voices. He's not too bad a narrator, but I believe he can practice more.

Overall, treat this as a fanfic you read to wind down. Don't expect too much depth, because you'll be disappointed.

That said, this has potential. I wouldn't mind a sequel.

Pleasantly surprising

Was kinda hard to get attached at first, but quick grew to become enthralled with the story enjoying how the story unraveled itself to me.
