Publisher's summary

The sexy, action-packed first dramatized audiobook adaptation in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking series that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable listen.

Performed by Melody Muze, Henry W. Kramer, Gabriel Michael, Natalie Van Sistine, Debi Tinsley, Bradley Foster Smith, Alejandro Ruiz, Christopher Graybill, Julie Hoverson, Karenna Foley, Eric Messner, Anthony Palmini, Steve Wannall, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Mort Shelby, Laura C. Worth the credit

I have read the original series through twice and I love it, so I was hesitant to spend the credit on another rendition of the same audiobook I already own. But the performances were very good and I enjoyed the ambient sounds that added depth to the performances. the ambient sound was a bit off-putting in the first few minutes since I wasn't used to the extra noise beyond just the reading.
If you are new to the series or already like the series, I consider it worth the credit. I like the voice actors a lot, and I'm excited to see what they do with the rest of the books. The second book is my favorite so I'm excited to listen to that!

Absolutely favorite series

This rendition of the series is so relaxing to listen to through the day. I enjoy just working while having this in the background and it makes me feel immersed into the story. It is a little hard to tell the difference between when Feyre is talking to herself verses other people but other than that I love it. Also don’t agree that this is how Feyre sounds but that’s just me haha

The narration though...

Compared to Jennifer Ikeda's performance in the original audio version, this full cast dramatization leaves you unsatisfied and wanting to listen to the original version. It is too bad; these dramatized versions can be great and truly entertaining but this cast does not do it for me. At least I have all of the original versions to fall back on :)

Takes time but worth it

The beginning was a little repetitive and slow, but as time went on it definitely picked up!

Great drama

Loved the storyline. Shorter than expected and left you at the edge of a cliff. If you're looking for a quick read, then this is a good one.

Great listen!

Listening to a dramatized audio version brings a whole new level to and audiobook. What an amazing cast! I loved the performance!

The story itself gives me Beauty and the Beast meets Hunger games vibes. I didn’t think I would love fantasy as much as I did, but I cannot wait to listen to book 2!
