About this listen

Growing up on a pirate ship, every day was full of adventure for Pandora Wyatt. It was also the perfect place for her to use her magic without persecution. But after her surrogate father is imprisoned in the Tower of London, Pandora leaves the safety of the vessel to rescue him before he's executed. She expects her mission to be difficult, but what she doesn't expect is to have her life saved by the sexiest man she's ever met.

Highland warrior Ewan Brody always wanted a sweet, uncomplicated woman by his side, but he can't fight his attraction to the beautiful enchantress who's stumbled into his life. He quickly learns, though, that Pandora is not only a witch, but also a pirate and possibly a traitor's daughter-and though she's tricked him into playing her husband at King Henry's court, he's falling hard.

Soon, they begin to discover dark secrets leading to the real traitor of the Tudor court, the one Ewan was hired to capture. Now, Ewan and Pandora must uncover the truth before they lose more than just their hearts.

Excellent Narrator!

Absolutely the best Narrator - especially when speaking as a Scottish man. Loved the characters & their histories that made them a good match!

Good 2nd installment

This was much like the first in regards to the 'magic' only in addition to the healing, this one had the added magical feature of conjuring up storms. Since I had already read the first one, I was expecting the magic aspect of the story, however, it still was a little silly.
As for the plot, it was enjoyable. I am a fan of the angst in a story being anything other than with the couple. I hate starting a book and just having a couple go on and on and on about why they can't be together and all the story them staying apart until the very end. Thankfully this was not like that. Yes, they had to progress to the place where they realized they loved each other, but until they got to that point, they worked together. For the most part.
Tim Campbell is one of the couple men narrators that I actually enjoy.

I got this book on sale for $2.94 and it was definitely worth that. I would not have been happy spending a full credit on that, but I am very very particular when doing that. Would have been fine in a 2/1 sale.

Sometimes love sneaks up on you!

Ewan and Dory are great characters. His eventual realization that he was happy with Dory was charming; never mind the outrageous happenings all around her! Their lives would never be dull with them together! The court intrigues and back-stabbing are so realistic and can be happening today in any large organization!

👏🏻😂🥰

A+++ for this fabulous, adventure filled tale!
Drool-worthy Scotsman meets a fierce pirate Witch and become entangled in conspiracies and intrigue at London’s court. They must uncover the third conspirator against king Henry or else they will find themselves locked in a tower. What’s a lass to do? Put on costumes and dance with the sexy savior infront of the king and show no mercy. I loved Pandora/Dory with all my heart. I listened with a smile on for majority of this tale and had those silly giddy moments I only do when no one’s watching hah it’s swoon worthy ladies. Timothy Campbell spells you into a comical romance with witty banter, heartfelt moments with a spice of magic. Dorys “father” and “brother” (pirates that raised her) are possibly the best side characters I’ve listened to in a while! Such great writing, narration and tale.
So worth it

Fun.

Not too much angst with enough adventure, friendship, romance and intrigue to keep me till the end and wanting to check out the other books by this author. Glad I found her, it’s my kind of fiction.

Excellent, we’ll written story! Amazing narration!!

This is another fantastic Heather MacCollum book. Always full of adventure, love, and even a little sword, play, etc. Each character is portrayed so well by Tim. Campbell. He makes the book that much more exciting and interesting. The differentiation between all of the characters is very obvious and well done. Thank you.

Pirates, the good kind. And a bit of Magic

I love Scottish highlander romances, especially when steeped in some relative non-fictional history. What made this story unique and completely entertaining is that bit of magic and a girl raised on a pirate ship. Not all is as you would expect, as the Pirates characters are so nicely developed and there is a lot of heart to the story! Narration by Timothy Campbell is top-notch as always, and he handles lots of different English accents —including those that live along the docks, the Pirates’ dialect, King Henry VIII, and the British nobility. Really fun story, lots of plot twists and turns, and some sizzling moments! I like that bit of magic in the storyline as well as the book that precedes it, but it certainly isn’t over the top. Wonderful female relationships, and lots of nurturing hearts in this story, I hope you enjoy it!
