Publisher's summary

How do you get your addicted son to recover without the painful roller coaster even if you had tried it all before and failed many times? Please keep reading to find out….

You found out about the addiction and did what any mom should do…help! To your shock and disappointment, things got quickly out of hand, and he got worse! You got sucked into your son's addiction and realized how difficult it was to help him. The panic, fear, and pain have almost been too much to bear. The constant relapses and never-ending anxiety made you sick. You still do not understand it or know how to confront or treat it, but you are a very critical part of his recovery.

So, what do you do when all the treatments your son received have not stopped the addiction or relapses and he has rejected all your love and help?

In The 7 Steps to Help Your Son in Addiction Recovery, you will discover:

  • New approaches to help your child without the fear and exhaustion
  • The signs you missed before your son got addicted
  • The single most overlooked possible cause of addictions
  • Why all your love and attempts to help have failed
  • Why you are still the best person to help your son

And, much more….

Dr. Gabor Maté, a well-known addiction expert, advocates for a compassionate approach to addiction, whether in us or others, putting into consideration the emotional health aspects. He believes the source of addictions can be found in the early childhood environment rather than in genes. Therefore, even if you have done all you know to do, this audiobook discusses other less talked about strategies you can use and succeed in helping him.

So, if you want to recover your health and sanity, get him to choose recovery, stop the generational cycle of addiction, rebuild your relationships, and find peace, then you should listen to this audiobook today!

Take Notes!!!!

Obviously not a book anyone wants to have to purchase but it is a necessary guide in todays world.

I thought the author had a lot of good insights and she had really done her research. I was beyond glad to find someone who both understood the struggle and pain that comes with helping an addict but also someone who had a lot of helpful information to share.

Also, really glad I could download the PDF to highlight certain sections.

Not only will this book help me help my friend, it helped me to have a better understanding of what they are going through. Very well done!

Recovery :)

There is scientific material as well as spiritual support , which is so helpful and not often seen together. I have many books in this subject and really like how this specifically combines science and spiritual aspects of addiction along with steps to help address both subjects.

Above and Beyond Helpful

I've always wondered if drug abuse tends to lean on the side of genetics or circumstance. This is so many more helpful chapters have aided me in this journey. Highly recommend!

Great approach!

Finally, a compassionate approach to healing addiction. I liked this book's approach to healing, not as just a diagnosis but a way to get to the root of the cause. Great job by the author!
