A disability becomes a superpower.
Chase Madison’s struggles with mental illness have turned jail cells into a revolving door. His latest arrest seems like just another spin in the cycle—until he uncovers a shocking conspiracy that offers him a chance at redemption.
While in custody, he discovers a clandestine group with the power to manipulate people and events using a mysterious mental force called Psy. They take an interest in Chase because of his unique resistance to it—only to realize that his mental disorder is what makes him immune.
Determined to expose the truth, Chase calls upon the skills of his criminal past to peel back the layers of their organization—only to uncover a leader whose ambitions threaten the entire world. He tries to walk away, but an unexpected connection with a defector changes his mind. She believes in him. She shows him that his brokenness may just be his greatest strength.

Once I started listening, I couldn't stop (nor did I want to). The characters are well-developed and interesting. Chase is very likable - it's easy to root for him. And the plot points involving his ADHD are quite clever! The author himself has ADHD, and his descriptions of Chase's thought process gave me a fascinating glimpse into the condition.
This is the first in a trilogy. As soon as I finished this one, I started the next!
Fascinating storyline with engaging charaters
