Publisher's summary

Here's a quick question: What would you do if your boss ordered you to do something that is against your values?

No, that's not a trick question because it is actually asked by most interviewers! If you are not sure what the best answer is, then what you can do is find the right guidance.

The good news is that you can find the help you need from this book!

In this book, you will discover the steps on how to prepare for any interview. But most importantly, you will be able to answer the most commonly-asked interview questions.

Each chapter will take you deeper into the sea of commonly-asked interview questions and provide you with the right strategies as well as concrete sample responses on how to respond to every one of them. The questions range from the most basic, such as "How well do you manage your time?" to the most - shall we say - unusual, such as "How many cows does the state of Georgia have?"

This guide is for anyone who is planning on going to any interview, regardless of whether you are applying for your much desired position at your dream company or a top MBA program. The purpose of this guide is to help you think for yourself and, at the same time, provide you with insider tips that usually only interviewers know.

So update your resume, polish those black shoes, iron that dress shirt, and start practicing answering all the interview questions you could think of. There is no better time than now to listen to this book!

Not very long.

Clear and good information in this book, but there’s just not a lot of it.

Concise and foundational

Short and to the point. Acts as a good starting point to your interview preparation.

Not much information

There is very little information in this book and some of it is out dated. You definitely don't want to answer the weakness question with something that is more of a strength like being too detail oriented. Some of the answers are fine but all of them are the same thing you would get by searching the internet.

Very basic

Very (very) basic & maybe 20+% is intro filler fluff. if this is your first job interview for an entry-level position, it will probably be sufficient.

The info that IS there is decent, but what's there also includes (for example) an explanation of what to do if you've lost your temper at work and how to explain it to the interviewer. If that's something you need advice on, you'll probably have much bigger problems with the interview process.

Very basic - fine for first time job seekers

Good basic material every job seeker should know and should already know if they are well into their career. Not useful for seasoned job seekers. Perspective is based around “what would you do in this scenario” rather than “give me an example of when”. Again, great guidance for your first job. Two stars because that was not clarified before I purchased.
