Publisher's summary

I never should have agreed to becoming his fake wife....

Sinclair Amadeus Sterling, a.k.a. Mr. Superior Jackass with a God complex.
Who also happens to be my blackmailer...gulp.
Tall, dark, gazillionaire growly pants.
The first time I met him, I kneed him in his very well endowed balls - don't ask!
He had that tightly leashed, controlling air and a smoldering glare that made me damp in seconds.
The only thing that sucks worse than his attitude is his (lack of) sense of humor! Honest.
Sadly, he's also the one who could save my business from going bust. Hell!
So when he offers me the chance to work with him, I can hardly refuse, right?
Only catch? I need to be his pretend wife for - hold your breath - 30 days.
I should have turned and run right then, but....
He has the connections to help my sister's failing health, not to mention the money to wipe away my debt.
And yeah, that...sneaky video recording of him getting me off. OMG!
Besides, it's only 30 days, right?
It’s not like I’m in danger of falling in love with London's most notorious bachelor.
Then he tells me the real reason for the charade.
And everything changes....

Note: This is a stand-alone enemies to lovers, fake marriage, billionaire romance featuring a hot, possessive billionaire and the curvy spitfire who dares to go toe to toe with him!

Female narrator ruined it for me.

Good story line but the female narrator just isn’t my cup of tea.

Also, this is nitpicking I know...but he kept calling having a family “emo” and I just don’t think that makes any damn sense 😂

Slow to start/great finish

I’ll admit I was a little unsure if I would enjoy this book when I first started it. I didn’t really like Sinclair at all in the beginning. He was just a bit too much for me but then when his feelings for Summer started to come to light, he changed for the better.

Summer was a bit too weak when it came to Sinclair as well. That never really changed much but once again, when her feelings started to become real it wasn’t as bothersome.

There was one scene towards the beginning of the book that I didn’t care for. It wasn’t technically cheating because Sinclair hadn’t made his intentions known to Summer yet, but he had her come to his house so she would witness a woman pleasuring him. For me, this added absolutely nothing to the story and we never even see the woman again. That was the biggest issue I had with it.

This book really picked up speed closer to the end and definitely left me wanting to grab the next book and see what’s going to happen next. I need some answers stat.

I toggled back and forth between ebook and audio for this one. This was a new to me author and female narrator. Shane East is a favorite male narrator of mine and he was perfect as always.

Stupendous story!!! Excellent narration!!! 5+++++

Billionaire’s Fake Wife, an Audiobook by L. Steele is the romantic, phenomenal story of Sinclair (Sin) and Summer (Bird). Wow!!!! Wow!!!! Wow!!!! This was absolutely the BEST STORY!!!!!! She needs help with her business….and he makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Loved the movie references that are peppered throughout this story! EXCELLENT!!!!! The characters were extremely well-developed and you either loved them or hated the…or grew to love them…

This story was beautifully and perfected narrated by Shane East and Faye Adele. Their portrayals of these characters was inspired and flawless. They brought an added level of excellence to this already fabulous story!!!

Nothing is hotter than Summer + Sin 🥵

Sinclair Sterling, better know as Sin, stays absolutely true to his namesake . He is a cold hearted, ruthless billionaire with demons that plague him from his past . Demons that he plans on burying one final time to get revenge for himself + The Seven . Sin has a plan to fake marry the daughter of his enemy to draw him out of hiding . A quick 30 day arrangement + then everything and everyone will go back to normal . Until Sun realizes that Summer is absolutely everything he never even knew he wanted and will now stop at nothing to make sure he gets his revenge + his Summer too .

Summer West is trying to get her struggling new business off the ground . Except with a sick younger sister who has never ending medical bills + dr visits, there just never seems to be enough money to go around . Summer has always had to be the strong + independent parent figure after they were abandoned and grew up in the system, but she has always made it work . Which is why the only reason she agrees to Sinclair’s ridiculous offer is because he is blackmailing her and all she has left is her name . With no choice but to do everything he says, Summer just hopes that she can get out with her heart unscathed .

I FREAKING LOVED THIS STORY ! There is nothing better than an enemies to lovers, grumpy, bully billionaire who falls in love with the pawn in his chess game . Sin is as dominate, cocky + as filthy as they come . I mean the book pages were scorching every time something came out of this man’s mouth .. down right delicious . Not to mention the back + fourth banter between the two of them made me laugh out loud at times . I can’t wait to know more about Saint in the next book + the rest of The Seven over the series .

This was the first book in the Big Bad Billionaires series + it can be read as a complete standalone .

This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .

Excellent Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Steamy!

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is a fast moving enemies to lovers romance novel with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Summer West is in a bit of a bind, a financial bind, and Sinclair Amadeus Sterling, the billionaire, knew this even before she arrived for an interview at his company. The two had met the night before and while the chemistry between them was through the roof, his alpha-tude, alpha-hole, was also off the roof. And that does not change much when they meet again for her interview, and he manipulates the situation to guarantee that she lands where he wants her. Sinclair is on a mission, a mission of vengeance and has it all planned out, and she is a key part of that plan. Despite him having where he wants her, she does not just bend over and take it instead, she gives as good as she gets. I admired her for sticking it out and her dedication to her sister. And as much as you want to despise Sinclair for his behavior at first, he eventually redeems himself and, after hearing what and the others endured. You get a better picture of why he is the way he is and is so driven by revenge. The plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. There is never a dull moment in this book, the drama is non-stop, the dialogue and back-and-forth banter is amazing and so is the romance. L. Steele, thank you for this fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the fabulous narration, Shane East and Faye Adele were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Shane East nailed it as Sinclair, playing the demanding alpha-hole, alpha-tude and all. Faye Adele’s Summer was perfection, played her role with the right amount of sass and heart. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Sin and Summer

Enemies to lovers
Fake relationship
Force marriage
Billionaire
Revenge

Sinclair Amadeus Sterling - he almost made me stop reading. He was the worst until he wasn’t. Cold, rude with a superiority complex. He just didn’t care enough about anyone outside of his small group. Until Summer.
When you find out his story - it explains quite a bit.
If you like stories where the hero falls against his will. Then you will love seeing Sin slide into love.
Summer did the best she could against the cold and snobby Sin. She stood up against him. She was smart and would sacrifice for those she love.

The story had plenty to keep you entertained. Drama, revenge, steam and a lot of twists.
The supporting characters added to the suspense. Once you find out about Sin’s story within the seven, you want to know about the others.

I listened to it. Not for me

Shane East gives a good performance but I just could not like this book. Was it the female narrator or the story. I am not sure. But even with the cliffhanger ending I am okay with not continuing the series

Emotional and Sexual Enemies to Lovers

Thank you, Laxmi, for writing a book that I wanted to know the ending but I didn't want it to end! This book will have several twists that will add so much to the development of these characters. Sin is a ruthless businessman with seemingly little to no redeeming characteristics, but gradually I came to love him. Summer is a loving sister who will do whatever's necessary to save her sister. Summer is sassy and challenges Sin. I love this and Laxmi also lets us hear their inner thoughts which are emotional, funny, and enlightening. There are several passionate and explosive sex and love scenes. Be still my heart!

The narrators are excellent and enhanced this story even more. They are talented storytellers that make the listener experience the emotions of these characters. Faye Adele excellently portrays Summer's spunk, caring nature, fighting spirit, and passion. Shane gives Sin a deep swooning voice and a sexy accent.

I highly recommend this Audible book. I know that a few reviewers hated that Sin cheated on Summer but they were not in a relationship at the time. He did it to emphasize that the relationship they would have was a fake one for business of some sort. But even he regretted doing this to her when he realized how it affected her.

That's a spicy meatball

First off, Shane east can read the phone book and make people swoon, add to that the extra spiciness of L. Steele's words and let's just say muy Caliente.
Slight trigger warning, about consent and somewhat consensual nonconsent, but once you're aware of that this enemies to lovers is a fantastic listen.

Alpha-hole Lovers Dream

"The Billionaire's Fake Wife" by L Steele, narrated by Shane East and Faye Adele, presents an intense Alpha-hole trope with blackmail. Shane East's narration, accompanied by his British dry style, adds to the straightforwardness of the story. Initially, I found it challenging to immerse myself in the book. Still, the discovery of the bond of the Seven piqued my interest, leaving me curious to explore further into the series.

Shane East's portrayal of the male lead was exceptional, effectively capturing the character's complexities without any unnecessary emotions. His delivery of the lines remained straightforward and devoid of charm or humor, which suited the narrative's tone. Faye Adele's performance as the female lead complemented the story well, maintaining a dry and matter-of-fact tone throughout.

The revelation of the bond of the Seven brought an intriguing aspect to the story, hinting at deeper connections between the characters. Despite a slow start, the plot gained momentum as secrets were disclosed, offering a captivating world of romance, mystery, and passion with a dry and pragmatic approach. In conclusion, "The Billionaire's Fake Wife" sets a promising foundation for the series, where readers can expect more intrigue and complexity in the forthcoming books.
