About this listen

“I will come back, Juliette... for you, for us! I promise that nothing, not even distance or time, will stop me from being by your side. (Simon)”

“Simon, you are the love of my life. The love of all my lives that have passed and that will still come, if that is possible. (Juliette)”

Lady Juliette and Lord Simon met by fate on Christmas Day 1822, during the Cramptons' dinner. Juliette, a beautiful and shy fifteen-year-old girl, and Simon, a handsome seventeen-year-old boy who dreamed of serving in the king's army in some British colony, just like his uncle, Captain Robert, Aunt Eugenie Crampton's husband. When their eyes met, they both felt something profound - it was love at first sight. Little did they know that they were already connected in other lives, in the form of the peasant Elizabeth and the libertine Lord Oliver de Blackmore, the Duke of Cantrell, who gave rise to the dreaded curse of the Dukes of Cantrell, which lasted for a hundred years.

However, Juliette was very young and had not yet even participated in her first season, in which she would certainly attract the attention of all the good guys due to her beauty and for being the only daughter of the Duke of Cantrell. Simon, although of noble blood, did not have a title. As the middle son, he had a military dream that he wanted to fulfill before committing himself and getting married. At that Christmas dinner, next to a window, while admiring the starry sky, the two discreetly made a secret pact: when the time came, Simon would enlist and Juliette would wait for him, even rejecting the suitors that were presented to her, if necessary. She was still young and would have plenty of time to wait during the three years that he planned to serve in a British colony. Thus began an intense exchange of hidden letters between them.

However, in a secret farewell, Simon asks for proof of love and Juliette gives herself to him. But this attitude has consequences... So what now? Will the story of more than a hundred years ago repeat itself again?
