About this listen
After losing his wife in last year's Christmas blizzard, Matthew Carson struggles to connect with his silent eight-year-old daughter Lucy, who hasn't spoken since that tragic night. When the town's toy shipment is delayed, threatening Eagle Creek's Christmas festival, Matthew knows he needs help - both with the mounting orders and his wounded family. Enter Beatrice Woodworth, a Boston lady fleeing her own secrets, who arrives as his mail-order bride just as the first snow falls.
But Beatrice carries more than just emotional baggage. Hidden in her suspiciously heavy trunk are the tools of a master craftsman - evidence of years spent secretly learning woodworking from her grandfather. As she works alongside Matthew in his workshop, their shared passion for creating beauty from raw wood sparks an unexpected connection. Yet while Lucy begins to emerge from her silence, drawn by Beatrice's gentle understanding, the threat of exposure looms. One letter from Boston could destroy everything Beatrice is building with Matthew and Lucy.
In a season meant for miracles, Beatrice must choose between protecting her grandfather's reputation and embracing her true identity as both a craftsman and a mother. Can she trust Matthew and the people of Eagle Creek with her secrets, or will she let fear keep her from the family she's always dreamed of? As Christmas approaches, three wounded hearts learn that sometimes the most precious gifts are the ones that can't be wrapped - trust, acceptance, and the courage to be who you truly are.

Heartwarming
This is a beautiful story of acceptance. Acceptance of someone who was different and who showed that difference can be helpful in allowing others to shine with their gifts.

Lack of story development and sequence
Sweet story line but needs development of plot and characters. Almost appears if never edited since some parts overlap in a way that doesn’t make sense.
