Publisher's summary
Hope can be found in the strangest places...
For Eddie DeMarco, singing just doesn't have the same joy that it had before. Struggling with alcohol and a recent loss, he's perfectly content to drown his woes and destroy his throat. But when a stranger, that's me, Charlie, sits down next to him...that's when magic happens.

He's doing a stretch for grand larceny. All he has now is time with the other degenerates that inhabit the prison. But when he gets roped into a cleanup crew, the prison starts to change in odd ways. Now Lyle must find a way to protect himself in a world he hardly recognizes.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Wonderfully poignant Christmas story!
The Christmas Crooner written and narrated by Roberto Scarlato is a perfect seasonal story of love, loss and second chances. Eddie DeMarco losing himself after his wife’s death. Charlie brings Eddie a bit of divine inspiration to get back on track and use his gifts. I loved this uplifting message and the author can certainly be very proud of this Christmas story.

Magical Beginnings
OMG! This has to be one of the best Christmas stories I have ever heard. The Christmas Crooner may only be a novella, but boy, does it ever pack a big punch. This is my first book by this author, but it's definitely not my last. Eddie used to be a crooner, but after the loss of his wife Meredith, he gave up and started drinking. One night in a bar, he is approached by Charlie, and from there, things only get better. I loved watching Eddie's character become more developed and stronger as the story went on. I loved the suspense and sarcastic wit. I found this novella to be heartbreaking, humorous, magical, and heartwarming. This novella is a must listen/read because it definitely embodies the Christmas spirit.
I received this book for free upon my request. I highly recommend this book. The author/narrator did a phenomenal job. This is my honest, unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving here of my own accord.
