About this listen

Full pirate mode. Dungeons to explore. A quest to gather the eight skulls!

Drew has finally got it all together. First, there is his pocket dimension, a quickly growing area based around his good buddy, Tree. Then there are his students, six random kids he...liberated. Finally, there is the dragon stalking him.

Cultivating, sailing, staying ahead of trouble. That’s his plan as he moves into the creation of his solid Core. Seducing a dragon was a total accident. Nuking an Island? Let’s not focus on the details. They started it.

What’s the best thing to do while getting his magical career and development back on track? Play pirate, of course!

Well.. the first book was bloody brilliant.

I could not tell enough people about the first book in this series. It was truly delightful. The MC is a Loki-esque character with a devil may care attitude. Not mean or selfish, just mentally aloof and hilarious.
But this book was... choppy. I had a hard time figuring out what was happening from scene to scene and why. Louws tries to fill out all the main characters more but instead leaves us with less. This book should have been twice as long or he should have sidelined half the characters for book 3.
Do not get me wrong, this is still an entertaining book, but it could have used some more development before publishing.
Still a big Louws fan. They can't all be home runs. I will be getting book 3.

I want to give this 5 stars, but...

Narration is great. No worries there.

This book is really good. I like that he is so O.P. It's a cool perspective that is hard to pull off. So I said the thing about wanting to give it 5 stars but can't... I think sex scenes that are that graphic are tasteless. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude. It's a quality thing. In detail sex scenes are just weird. It's like walking in on someone you have a lot of respect for engaged in self pleasure, but they have pictures of Shrek taped to their knees and you aren't allowed to leave the room once you walk in. Then they make eye contact that you also aren't allowed to break. It's awkward. That's what I'm trying to say here. We just don't need to know exactly how he is finger banging a dragon. Like the exact motor control down to the way he places his digits. See? Even now you're like "Eww, c'mon man." And I'm like "What?! It's even worse in the book. Why do you think I'm even writing this review? Just making a point.. Don't get so testy. Jeez." Anyway, besides that one part in the book this sequel is great. I will now obsessively watch for preorder every week and try not to harass the author over social media over a release date. Enjoy.

I'm head over heels in love with this series

Love the metaness, the wit and cold laser focus on all the spice and flavour that makes cultivation one of my favourite genre.

Isekai, Litrpg, Gamelit, DnD all have a place within this series. Mr Louws and Pavi keep em coming.

Excellent story

I love the western culture meets cultivation philosophy in an RPG world setting. Could have done without the smut though. But overall an awesome story that keeps you wondering what else that crazy cultivator is going to do next and what unintended consequences and hilarious accidents will ensue.

Fantastic sequel for a fantastic series

this book is,well, fantastic. It continues in the same vein as the first book but elaborates on the MC’s character and personal development. At times irreverent, absurd, funny, sad; This book shows the authors growth as a writer and storyteller and I loved every minute of it.Please keep up the good work
