About this listen

Read the complete story of the Davenport brothers, two billionaires running the family New York City ad agency.

Hard to Get, The Davenport Billionaires: Book One

A billionaire workaholic. A personal assistant running from her past. One treacherous chance at a future.

After a bad break up, Samuel Davenport throws himself into running his family's New York based advertising agency. He has little interest in women until Haley becomes his personal assistant. Soon, he's intrigued by her mind, her natural abilities for the business, and why she works so hard to hide her beauty.

Haley moved to the city New Year's Day to hide, recover, and build a new life far from her past. She alters her appearance, ignores her ambitions, and focuses on surviving one day at a time. This worked well, until Sam tries to uncover all of Haley's mysteries.

Sometimes playing hard to get is a defense mechanism. Sometimes getting too close exposes a person to danger. Sometimes the past should be left alone.

Hard to Keep, The Davenport Billionaires: Book Two

A billionaire playboy. A driven entrepreneur. One opportunity to keep her.

Adam Davenport has spent his entire life running from party to party while living off his trust fund. When injuries from a hit and run forced him to slow down and examine his choices, he didn't like what he saw, until he saw her working the bar. Enter Cammie, the one woman impervious to his charms. Exit all reason while he struggles to keep her.

To Cammie, Adam was no stranger. He also was no potential love interest. He was, however, the perfect person for helping her achieve her goals. And because of that, she'd take him wherever he wanted to go and cater whatever function he desired. Unfortunately, Cammie could tell he desired her, too, and there was no way she'd give him what he wanted.

Not everything can be bought. Not everyone is for sale. Not all promises should be kept.

AiAweful

I was so excited for the AI narrating. I thought how cool when the create the different voices. We’ll screw that. I’m guessing they did not listen to this. Forgetting the robotic nature, it is Ai and you can play with speeds and it’s bearable BUT There is a teeny tiny speck of a difference in the voices. I am sure to the computer it’s huge but I spent more time trying to figure out who was talking. I hate leaving stories unfinished and I am so close to the end (of book 1) that will be it for me. I’ll save the other two for when I am stranded somewhere with nothing else. What a bummer I really was excited but alas and thankfully human beings rule the narration!!!🤘
