Narrator ruined the book

The narrator constantly put the wrong emPHAsis on the wrong syLLAble in words. Lol. It was just weird and ruined the audio book.

Guessing game

Okay so I had to reread the first chapter to understand everyone’s role . As you get deeper in the storyline it starts to get interesting. Now you’re guessing who is clever enough to to do all these murders without leaving clues of who might have done it. While pointing fingers and being divided they lose focus on what they are really there for. Great read

Terrible narration

The narrator's voice was like a terrible mix of computer generated and Forensic Files voiceover.

awesome book narrated by a bot.

I'm guessing the character voices are human, but everything else is a bot. Upping the speed a bit helps, but then sometimes it almost sounds autotuned.
Great story! Everything you want in a mystery!

classic "closed room "story but the narration was intrusive

I read about this book in another mystery book. I was very happy to find it available on Audible. The story is excellent- well laid out and clever. But the narrator has a strange way of pronouncing certain vowels (long A for example) and it was distracting.

Good story, bad narration

I liked the story but couldn’t get past the bad narration. I recommend reading rather than listening.

Story great but narrator awful

Unfortunately the narrator really detracted from the audiobook. Great story but really let down by the narrator who has a very robotic and stilted style. I

Narration is awful

The book is wonderful, but the narrator sounds robotic and bizarre, which made it hard to listen to

Itll keep you guessing

The story was good, I wish there were a few more hints to the identity of the killer, but good none the less. The narrator has a bit of a funny way of pronouncing a few words, in particular “mansion” but it wasnt enough to make me that irritated.

the story was alright but the reader was stiff and robotic. his reading was very strange. I have listened to some terrible audio recordings in the past but still loved the book because in the end it was still a great story. this was not one of those times unfortunately. the story was just alright and for a book I've seen on multiple lists for one of the best mysteries of all time I was disappointed. mind you, this is just my opinion and if someone was to ask me "should I give this book a read?" is say yes because it wasn't bad by any means. I just didn't love it.
