Publisher's summary

World-famous media archaeologist Dr. Kathlyn Trent and her husband, Dr. Marcus Burton, are off on another enigmatic quest.

Reports of the discovery of angel bones have come from the ancient land of Iraq and Kathlyn and Marcus take their archaeological teams into this mysterious realm to investigate. Hindering their progress is a former colleague of Kathlyn's - also hearing of the discovery, Dr. Fayd Fahdlan will stop at nothing to usurp Kathlyn's claim. As Kathlyn and Marcus fall under the spell of the strange bones, Fayd and his superiors see spectacular and bizarre scientific opportunities for Dr. Trent's find. When Kathlyn is kidnapped in an attempt to force her to participate in their macabre scheme, the ancient bones suddenly take a back seat to a related discovery of even greater magnitude.

Biblical theories that were once thought only myth have suddenly become reality. The Vatican and the United States military soon become involved and the stakes grow even higher. Kathlyn, Marcus and the rest of the archaeologists find themselves caught up in something so fantastic that it is difficult to know just where the legends end and realities begin.

Don't believe in demons? Kathlyn Trent can convince you otherwise in this amazing tale.

Not as good as book one

Adventure story was good. Kathlyn wasn’t as enjoyable of a character in this book though. All the other characters stayed true to form and were interesting players. Narration was on point ⭐️ just as in the first book.

Loved the Biblical Theories

This book was just as good as the first in the series. Takes a look at stories from the Bible and gives them true meaning from an archeological standpoint.

Another great adventure!

What did you love best about The Eden Factor?

The continuing story of Marcus & Kathlyn. I loved the adventure & their romance.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dennis - he just so angry it's funny sometimes.

What about Leslie Wadsworth’s performance did you like?

She did all the various voices very well. Her voice inflections & tone changed in the dialogue between characters seamlessly.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Kathlyn felt torn between staying home to take care of her babies & feeling called to do her professional job.

Any additional comments?

It's a great adventure series! I just wish the reader could find out conclusively about the baby's genetics at the end.

Marcus Burton and Kathlyn Trent

Leslie Wadsworth did an amazing job narrating this contemporary romance mystery and definitely deserves 5 Stars for her work. Kathryn Le Veque is, as always, an amazing author. I don't generally read or listen to many contemporary romance novels, however, this series is too good to pass up! 5 Stars to Kathryn for her gifted writing ability over such a range of genres. I adore all of her books and really appreciate her making the audio books available to us. There is always such professionalism and skill on both ends!

xWhen past literally touches the present--riveting

Any additional comments?

How far in the name of science will a man go to pursue and further prove his hypotheses? And how much truth lies in the myths passed down through the ages? Will we find the truth through archaeological digs? Not only will this story grip your mind, it will have you pondering these very questions. Kathlyn Trent is a wonderful role model. A strong woman in the face of with adversity. When she loves, she loves with all her heart. She also has a very powerful belief in God, a bit of a seer to the past, intelligent, and driven to discover the unusual and unknown. Her studies are Biblical Mythology. When science, her logical reasoning, her curiosity to discover the unknown and her knowledge of what the Bible relates in Genesis and Revelations, converge, she must make decisions which could change her life forever. Her strengths are what also makes her most vulnerable.Marcus Burton, his studies in Egyptology and Kathlyn’s husband, sees his archeology in strictly a methodical, scientific way. So he often balances the scales where Kathyln is concerned. She is rather impulsive and will endanger herself for a scientific find. Since meeting Kathlyn his ideas have changed, somewhat, since his studies are grounded on what is seen and scientifically proved. Kathlyn’s studies deal with interpretation of myths, past from generation to generation dating as far as back as before the flood and Noah’s ark. Marcus believes in his wife, would like to give her the independence she craves to pursue her research. He can’t quite let go. This stubborn trait of his, will either kill or save them all. These two make a powerful story, full of adventure, danger, suspense and excitement. The author takes her readers into the contemporary world where the past literally touches the present. The research teams deal with local villagers in Iraq who are scared to death and decide they need outside help. Word of the villagers’s findings leaks to other Biblical Mythology experts who don’t have as many scruples as Kathlyn’s team. The Vatican also becomes involved.I hadn’t heard narrator Leslie Wadsworth’s work before, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way she carried the story, the range of emotion she expressed (extremely believable), particularly the quick-temper and explosive arguments between Marcus and Kathlyn. I enjoyed the special effects used through the story, only adding more realism to the uncanniness the author spooks us with. The support cast adds a lot to the story. I, particularly like Dennis, a brash, in-your-face kind of man, who isn’t afraid to say exactly what he’s thinking. I like the friendship Julianna has with Kathryn. They share a secret which comes to light. Will it hurt her chances with Lynn? The author keeps the reader hanging, questions left unanswered until the end of the story. I always expected the worse. Much like the story itself, even though the world ‘rights’ itself, a lingering question mark still remains. Again, Kathryn Le Veque entertains with a unique situation, and a thought-provoking powerful message.

great story line

What did you like best about The Eden Factor? What did you like least?

i liked the topic the story,
what i didn't like is that the lead female cried about everything,
she was hard headed and selfish. she claimed to love her husband
yet she always went against his wishes and found her in trouble that could
have been avoided

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Eden Factor?

how much Marcus loved her

Any additional comments?

i hope the next series the lead is crying about everything.
