Publisher's summary

1444 A.D.: She's a mercenary, a tough lady warrior known as the Lady of the Moon.

Samarra le Brecque is hired by the father of a reluctant groom to take his son to the Caves of St. Agnes in Cornwall, where the groom's intended will be waiting. According to local legend, if a man and a woman touch the red stains upon the walls of the cave, said to be left by doomed lovers, then the man and woman shall fall in love forever.

But the situation doesn't go as planned.

Sir Rhodes de Leybourne is a powerful knight for the Earl of Bristol, Bastian de Russe (BEAST). He wants to choose his own wife, not the woman his father has selected for him, and in his haste to escape he falls right into the trap set by the lady mercenary. Now, a game of wits begins as Rhodes finds himself attracted to this strong, beautiful woman who commands a misfit army of mercenaries.

Will Rhodes honor his father's wishes or will he follow his own heart?

They both found what they were looking for!

She was a mercenary, employed by a Lord to kidnap his son. She was to take the son, a reputable knight, to St Agnus' so he and his betrothed would succumb to love when touching the blood stained wall, as per legend.
Off course, fate got in the way, and although the plan went awry, the knight did indeed find his love and bride, although not the one he had been contacted to since childhood.

Another good story.

This is another very good story dealing with the knights of old. This one has a lady warrior and she is smart and strong. I did like how she didn't let men run her life and took care of herself during a time when this was unheard of. She also falls for the right man and he is just right for her. Nice HEA and worth the listen. The narration was on point and there was just one place where the editing was off.

Good short story

The story overall is good although the hero sudden fall in love is a bit unrealistic but still nice light short story. The narrator is outstanding and exceptional!!

Simply Delightful

Do not dismiss this offering from Le Veque simply because it is shorter. It will cheer you throughout each chapter. I found myself grinning and chuckling from the entertaining dialogue of the charming hero and heroine. While I profess a bias to the exceptional Brad Wills, Brian J. Gill gives an excellent performance in Lady of the Moon. Do something lovely for yourself and purchase this novel.
