Publisher's summary

The events of Acts leading to Revelation come to life as the Order of the Seven animal team surrounds the early believers who are spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth-against all odds.

Reunited with Dr Luke while on his third missionary journey, Paul uncovers a plot on his life yet boldly travels to Jerusalem, where he is arrested and imprisoned in Caesarea for two years. The animals work behind the scenes to make vital connections, uncover plots, and help with the formation of a New Testament.

All the while, murder plots and power struggles abound in Rome with the rise of the infamous Emperor Nero. When Paul finally appeals to Caesar before Governor Festus, so begins a treacherous voyage to Rome. After months at sea and a harrowing shipwreck on Malta, Paul arrives in Rome, awaiting his trail before Emperor Nero. Peter is finally arrested as well, and both he and Paul are sentenced to death, but not before they write several last letters to strengthen the church.

Nero's excesses spell his doom, and a new era of emperors is ushered in with the powerful Flavian Dynasty. Domitian fans the flames of persecution against the church and exiles John to Patmos, but on that island of despair comes a revelation of hope to the last remaining disciple. Weep over the fall of Jerusalem, and cheer the miraculous rise of the Church against the backdrop of murder, persecution and the majesty of imperial Rome.
