Publisher's summary

How would your life change if your product was on page one of Amazon search results?

Do you have dreams of growing your brand to a global scale? Do you want to own a business and still have a great family life? Do you need a mentor to help you reach your greatest potential? Do you find selling on Amazon intimidating or mysterious?

Joerg Kundrath and Kai Klement met in college and discovered they had more in common than just a math class - they both wanted to build a company. There was one issue: They had to figure out what to sell. Four years later, they are one of the biggest iPad and iPhone genuine leather case sellers on Amazon.

This is the story of how they built their successful friendship, thriving company, and fulfilling lives. It also serves as a blueprint for you to do the same thing.

Review for this book

Would you listen to The KAVAJ Case again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this again because it does list good points and ideas of what you need to be going through to get select a product, steps to be checking and some of the mistakes that kavaj has made.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The KAVAJ Case?

Finding the product of how they came to product which is basically finding a product that you want but not being able to find it on amazon

Any additional comments?

It was definitely worth a few bucks to get this book. I took actually learned something from this audible book and things I will evaluate again on my amazon product and future amazon products.

Great for a start to finish mindset on amazon.

I listened to several books on getting started with amazon selling. The others were ok, but this one walks you down the road starting at the beginning mindset, through the struggles and to their success. Amazon is not a get rich quick proposition, and this book, if the reader listens to it while envisioning themselves standing in the shoes of the authors, the book will go a long way towards developing the long term mental and emotional persistence to succeed.

Don't listen to this book as a checklist of how to sell on amazon, but as a journey through the business of amazon.

great voice...inside info about selling on Amazon

I enjoyed the book. It has first hand experiences on developing a brand and selling it on Amazon. There were things I learned from this book that I haven't heard in other books I have read on selling on Amazon. The best part is the info was presented amongst a captivating story that I would have enjoyed even if I wasn't interested in starting a business selling on Amazon. I really enjoy hearing success stories.

Don't Go Into Imports Without This First

Where does The KAVAJ Case rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have been researching importing and private labels for Amazon FBA for some time now. This is one of my favorites on the topic. These guys give sound advice from their own experience and you have to realize, this a serious business venture. Forget the 4 hour work week for while. Problems come up. The unexpected happens. Some of what these two faced would have had me considering closing my doors. They are tenacious and they are savvy. I really appreciate what they offer here, what they have managed to succeed at and how the smoothed over big and small bumps along the way. My only concern about this is this: Would Amazon FBA employees be so ready to help me if I had an urgent matter and needed someone to check on my inventory at FBA? Or did these two get preferential treatment because they used to work at Amazon? It's hard saying, but this audio provides value either way.

A great business book for the modern world

While other business books are dealing with foundational last century concepts, this book shows exactly what it takes to succeed in the era of Amazon. The customer is still first.

Wake Me When it's Over

What did you like best about The KAVAJ Case? What did you like least?

I would consider this more of a Case Study or White Paper - not so much an actual book.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

As a case study it was interesting but, lacked detail in some parts, like how they got started, what were initial expenses.

Good information on dealing with suppliers and supply chain. I wouldn't call it a Blueprint. A Blueprint has many layers. You can't start the frame without a foundation. You can't pour the foundation without preparation.

This Blueprint starts with the inspector signing off on the work you've already done. (I.e. I've decided on a product and here's what happened)

Like I said: It's a Case Study - which is fine - but call it what it is.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The book is clearly written in the first person - so, the enthusiasm from the narrator was okay - but simply - read as you would - in a classroom.

Could you see The KAVAJ Case being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Hell-No. Even if it was - there is nothing unique about it.

1. Found Product
2. Sent to Amazon
3. Lost Shirt
4. Got Better
5. Got Screwed By Supplier
6. Got Better
7. Figured it out - Living Happily Ever After
