About this listen

The eighth novel of the internationally acclaimed Chaos Seeds saga.

A mesmerizing tale reminiscent of the brutality of Goblin Slayer and the majesty of Game of Thrones.

Audible's Customer Favorite of the Year!

Number one audiobook 2017.

Welcome my friends!

Welcome...to “The Land"!

The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss.

What no one but the abandoned chaos seed knows is that he narrowly avoided the curse of the lich Singh, a curse that still hangs above his head. Now, surrounded by miles of darkness and tons of crushing rock, Richter has to find his way back into the light.

The only problem is that this monster of a man is being pursued by monsters, a demon, and his own foolish choices. Faced with all the dangers of the deep dark, what will Richter say when the buried horrors of The Land come a calling and asked if he's paid his dues?

Well he'll look right back, stare that horror in the eye, and say, "Yes sir, the check is in the mail!"

Welcome back my friends! Welcome back...to The Land!

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Another winner by Dr Kong and Nick Podehl.

Another winner in the series of The Land. Feeling like a kid at Christmas I arose this morning to listen to The Land:Monster's read by The Songbird of our generation Nick Podehl. An absolutely perfect time for us to get a blessed distraction from all the Chaos in our real world today.

beware of the curse while awaiting the next Set of Chapters in the life of a Chaos Seed.

Why?

I love the series and I can’t wait for the next book, but. It’s never necessary to have a chapter about the stages and levels of poop.

Concentrated Goodness

Aleron has given us a treat with this latest book. Almost the entire book is devoted to the leveling aspect of his fantastic world. I have enjoyed that part most in the previous books. Like a pint of ice cream, this book is a guilty pleasure. At one point I was laughing so hard I had to redouble my concentration on driving in heavy traffic.

50+% notifications

first great job by Nick but the book itself is ... not good he is still going through notifications from the end of book 7 at over 60% of the way through the book there is almost no story progression amid other issues. I bought the audio book because i like the series alot but i couldn't make it past 80% of the e book. after i could not put down book 7 witch is 3x longer this was a major disappointment

My least favorite book in the series.

First, I love this series and will continue on with it when the next book comes out. That being said however, this book is the slowest of the series. It is so filled with stat sheets and (to me at least) superfluous lore that I zoned out for most of the book. The little story that IS there is wonderful and consistent with the the high standard of the series, but this is the one book in the series that I will only listen to once. P.S. Nick Podehl does an amazing job as always!
