About this listen

In a world where men and women are encouraged to reject traditional sex roles, Elisabeth Elliot candidly reminds men why the sexes are not equal and interchangeable. Written as personal advice to her nephew, The Mark of a Man reveals the glory and purpose of true masculinity. With Christ as the example of the ultimate man, this classic take on understanding a man's role in life and relationships, romantic or otherwise, helps men define their own masculinity in a positive way. This timely repackage encourages men to stand strong in their unique role established by God for all time.

The truth in this is amazing.

I love how this book finishes in such wisdom. I wish it started with the points in the second half. I think it would be easier to give as a gift to a young man if it was to get right to the point.
but the beginning of the book is important, what really is a man? what in our world destorts that? what about homosexuality?
These things are important to ponder, but I like to think the young man reading is this isn't struggling with homosexuality but is preparing himself for marriage to a woman. it is a good book and covers things so well, I just wish it got to the advice on dating and pursuing a woman, and marriage right away.
What a great book. I read this to see what kind of a gift it would be to my brothers when they enter into marriage. I currently give my sister-in-laws 'what is a woman'?. it is the perfect book for women. this book is good, but it doesn't have the same exact way of getting right to our hearts and sins. it starts with something of analyzing how the world has got manhood wrong then it dives deep into the great content of the book. It gets better with every page.
I will definitely be giving it as a gift, but perhaps also to my brother who is not marrying but in a stage of searching for a woman. This book would also be a perfect book for him to read.
