Once more a very good book in this series! Well worth reading the next book.

3 books in an still nothing. Apparently he is a super op legendary mage, but still nothing happened. He still hasn’t gotten his house, and still just adding characters for no reason. The pacing is absolutely terrible. Each book is 80% filler and random tangents and 20% actual plot developments.

This is a fantastic book series. My only complaint is there isn’t more to listen to. 🤣

yeah it took me a few chapters to remember characters and story because of how lon this book took to release. but once i gotninto it, it was awesome and that confirmation that this mc knew the mc from the hunters code was a a really nice touch. but it looks like they are finally going to fight back against the Duke instead of just reacting to his moves. im really looking forward for more of the story

Another good addition. Enjoyed the easter egg references to his other works in this one. Kevin is also a perfect narrator for this series and character.

In my opinion, this series is one of my favorites, but the books are too short. I would appreciate it if there were more content. Additionally, KC’s narration is exceptional.

I have loved all three of the books in this series so far. I've listened to thousands and thousands of hours of fantasy audiobooks, and this one managed to keep my interest very well.

A Unique and Compelling Story

Take a shot every time he asks a rhetorical question
Take a shot every time he says “you might be thinking…” or “it may seem like…”
Take a shot every time he says something along the lines of “I’m an architect, why would they mess with me”

The story isn’t to bad but the same phrases over and over again are starting to get old. The story doesn’t go anywhere but it’s nice to just turn my brain off and listen too.
