When the Koh-i-Noor diamond is stolen from an exhibition of the crown jewels, only one man - and his elephant - can crack the case....

For centuries the Koh-i-Noor diamond has set man against man and king against king. Now part of the British Crown Jewels, the priceless gem is a prize that many have killed to possess. So when the Crown Jewels go on display in Mumbai, security is everyone's principal concern. And yet, on the very day Inspector Chopra visits the exhibition, the diamond is stolen from under his nose. Another success for Khan & Garewal

It’s so much fun to listen to Sartaj perform the voices in Khan’s Chopra novels. It’s better than reading the books. I can’t say that for audible combinations but certainly true for this. Sartaj Garewal and Malk Williams are my absolute favorites.

Whimsical

Adding a baby elephant to a detective agency adds a fun and whimsical aspect to the overall story. The characters are delightful and although there is humor there are some serious aspects to the story. With the addition of an assistant detective there are also two mysteries to solve . I totally enjoyed every word. I you like your mysteries without a lot of gore and a more cerebral aspect you will like this story.

mysteriously entertaining in Mumbai

Loved it My only complaint is that I had to kept sitting time aside to listen to it cuz I couldn't wait for the next chapter if anything it was too fun and too attractive to want to disappear into. Love reading about baby ganesh

Highly enjoyable!

A light-hearted yet sensitive book about a great diamond heist! I really enjoyed the character development extending on from the previous book between Chopra, Poppy and Ganesh, as well as the heart-warming introduction of the boy Irfan into their lives. Serious issues around conditions in the city of Mumbai for the poor and for animals are raised, as well as corruption in law and government. A wonderful, enjoyable series!!

Wonderful

I love the twists and turns of the main story line. The additional plot lines males this a wonderfully complex read.

Mystery set within India's wealth and poverty

Another great mystery with Detective Chopra at it's center. Full of interesting characters, and memorable locals. I love learning about a country and it's social aspects, customs, etc. all the while following a good detective story.

Good mystery, too many story lines

During the story there were three different mysteries trying to be solved. Different characters were solving different crimes but some characters solved a crime together. The story is funny, quick, and an easy read.
