Publisher's summary

A criminal Jordan Noble took down years ago is trying to kill him.

Good thing the UrbanKnight Detective Agency’s got his back.

When Noble left the Defense Intelligence Agency, he gave up on the international intrigue going with it. Now, Cody Random, international criminal, is back for revenge and threatens the entire nation with his monstrous drug, crush. And for good measure, the CIA is warning Noble to steer clear.

But that’s not how things get done in Detroit, a city used to the odds being against it.

Noble formed the UrbanKnights to tackle the crimes no one else will touch. But they never squared off against odds like this. Will they have the skill to stop this Random Affair?

Just the plot in general was nice

so it flowed really well once it started going but also it was very confusing at the beginning and you couldn't really visualize features of the main characters well. I did like the story and plot line as well.

Surprisingly Good

I dont read these types of books but someone held a gun to my head and made me. To my surprise i found myself enjoying it. It had depth, light-hearted fun, a variety of tones, action, desire, intrigue. If i wasnt being held at gun point to review this, i would have done it anyways and gave it the same review.

Fast-Paced Thriller

The UrbanKnights are faced with international criminal Cody Random who is seeking revenge for his brother’s murder at the hands of one of their own. However, Random is hands-off according to one government alphabet group. Fortunately, Noble and his UrbanKnights rarely follow the rules and sets out to stop Random from distributing a highly addicting drug to the unsuspecting world.

The author, James H. Roby delivers an action-packed thriller. Roby’s use of vivid imagery and rich characters allow the book to come to life. The quirky and sarcastic humor was refreshing. The dialog between characters flowed effortlessly and smoothly. The plot and twists were expertly executed leaving the listener wide-eyed at times.

The narrator, Jason Keller gives a solid performance providing unique voices for each character. He spoke clearly and with ease setting a steady cadence. His ability to deliver a wide range of emotions and sarcastic wit was entertaining and enjoyable. A nice fit for the book!

A rare thriller that keeps the listener spell-bound waiting for the next shoe to drop. There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook, it was well done.
