The story

The End Times are coming. In the warrens of Skavenblight, a new power is rising. The verminlords walk the earth and they plan to lead the skaven to their destiny as rulers of the world. But for Queek Headtaker, the only destiny that matters is his own, as he plans his final assault on Karak Eight Peaks. In the depths of that ancient city, two rival kings - the goblin Skarsnik and the dwarf Belegar - prepare to meet the onslaught. And in Karaz-a-Karak, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer presides over what he knows, in his heart, is the end of the dwarf empire. The Horned Rat rises and nothing will ever be the same…

Well, we knew this is the End Times, so...

Good story and narration. Can't help the irrational feeling that something is lacking... maybe one more Slayer and a manling.
But then the Rat would lose its horns and that just won't do in the End Times. Enjoyed it a lot.

standing ovation for mr spooner

the sheer amount of skaven / goblin / dwarf voices this man speaks in this novel is truly amazing. only a master can bring this much character into this giant novel and the performance is top notch throughout its entire length - never losing speed. bravo.

Like a mine cart thrill ride

Narrator nails every part. And the story makes it hard to actually stick to picking a side root for Good rattling fun.

Narrator Takes the Cake

The Narrator is amazing, Mr Spooner does an amazing job making so many Skaven, Greenpoint, and Dwarves sound unquie and interesting.

World class performance

The performer made the different Skaven and Dwarfs very distinctive. On par with the Sandman performances, but by one talented narrator.

Damn good yes YES!!

This had me binge listening from start to end wondering how things were to end. A rollercoaster of enjoyment with characters you will root for and others you crave brought low. Buy it or Quick the headtaker may decide to add yours to his trophy rack.

Good Storytelling

This was very well done. I love how we see the fate of various characters in Warhammer.
