Publisher's summary

Here, not a moment too soon, is a genuine reason not to be afraid of our Tomorrows. The author of seven New York Times best sellers in the world-captivating Conversations with God series, Neale Donald Walsch offers us a striking explanation for the upheaval we are seeing all over our planet right now, then proposes a simple plan by which we can impact both our personal and collective future in an extraordinarily positive way. Here, at last, is something we can do — and do easily — to help our world: Have a simple conversation and make a simple decision. Walsch calls this two-pronged approach the Conversation of the Century and the Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make.

The conversation is built around the asking and answering of Seven Simple Questions. The decision is to adopt a daring new way of life. This audiobook does not stop there, however. It invites each listener to personally engage with the author in co-writing a New Cultural Story for humanity, to be publicly offered to the world. Be prepared. This audiobook can give you your life back. And our world, its future.

Brilliant. Radical

Neale is radical, brilliant, bold, lovable. I absolute love his way of inviting the listener/reader to go to the throne boldly ;)

Deep look at life

This is a very deep look at life which will cause one to look at everything differently. The author goes into simple truths including why people won’t accept them. I bet if this book was released in 2024 it would be embraced by a larger audience.

Skip the first 1 1/2 hour. After that fantastic!

The first 1 1/2 is literally Neale repeating over and over again that we should go to the conversation website and participate in changing our cultural story. After that, the book is great and looks deeply into the issues of current society and cultural that have led us to where we are. In the end I loved the book, but I almost stopped listening because the first 1 1/2 hour has no real content. The content convinced me that talking about our societal issues is step 1 to healing and that every one of us needs to take up the torch, but trying to drill participation into the listener in the beginning just wasn't effective.

Beyond Brilliant

What made the experience of listening to The Storm Before the Calm the most enjoyable?

Words can't even describe how amazing this book was!

What did you like best about this story?

Liked how similar Neale's Conversation with God was to my own. He asks tough questions of God & the answers he get.... often leave ya speechless!!!

What does Neale Donald Walsch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like how upfront & honest Neale is about his shortcomings. No pretense & very pleasant to listen to (as were the narrators). It was extremely professional & fun to listen to.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

How we EACH play a pivotal role in re-writing our cultural story!

Any additional comments?

BRILLIANT dialogue! In the beginning I rejected a number of the ideas espoused in Neale's writings (grew up Fundamental Christian); however, the more I've prayed & earnestly sought God's Wisdom (James 1:5), the more & more these ideas began resonating!
