About this listen

Buddhism has been applied to everything from parenting to golf, but until now no one has offered Buddhist principles as a healing path through divorce. In Storms Can't Hurt the Sky, Gabriel Cohen bravely delves into his personal experience - along with insights from Buddhist masters, parables, humor, social science studies, and interviews with other divorces - to provide a practical and very helpful guide to surviving the pain of any breakup.

Focusing on the emotions most common in the dissolution of a relationship - anger, resentment, loss, and grief - Storms Can't Hurt the Sky shows how thinking about these feelings in surprisingly different ways can lead to a radically better experience. This engaging book offers sound advice and much-needed empathy for anyone dealing with a breakup.

This book is wonderful

Going through a bit of a rough patch, considering the subject matter. This book has really helped me during my divorce, and reconnected me with my buddhist practice.

The audio book was well narrated.

Incredible book

I totally love it, I think it’s an amazing way to show you the compassion and the kindness that you need during a period of life that a lot of us have to go through, and shows how to start a new relationship in other state of conscience.

Amazing book for men going through a divorce.

Guys. I understand that for a man going through a divorce very different than for a woman. While this book could probably be read by either a man or woman it does help, but the writer is a man who went through his personal experience. Much of the feelings that he describes that he went through our feelings that I am going through right now, and also probably a lot of men who are looking at buying this book. Although some of the things that he describes are very difficult to contemplate doing… at least right now in my stage of the divorce… I can see that if you follow his plan of action, you can come out of your divorce a better man. I empathize with anyone who is going through this situation. It is extremely painful and confusing. But there are better days ahead. I wish all of you the best of luck.
