About this listen
The mission just got a whole lot more challenging.
Determined to reclaim what was taken, Zaelen faces a race against time, striving to advance in cultivation faster than anyone ever has before. But the path is fraught with danger; assassins shadow his every move, and his presence is unwelcome in many territories.
As alliances new and old rally to his side, startling truths emerge. The true instigator behind the monster plague is revealed — a Planetary Destroyer, the antithesis to a Planetary Fixer like Zaelen.

Fun story with Cultivation at Last!
This book was a lot of fun. I enjoyed listening to the main character deal with issues.
I was so glad to finally see the main character begin actual cultivation. The cultivation aspects were light compared to other books in the genre, but I love cultivation so I enjoyed it.
The virtual voice narration did a fine job.

Not bad!
A very interesting story concept. I like Science Fiction story with a twist. The idea of combining cultivation with science fiction has been seen before, but in most cases, it presents the cultivation concept as a fall superior concept. This shows that the technology is better than any cultivation concept. A nice twist.

Feels like it's written with AI.
This book feels like it's more of a second draft than a finished book. There's no subtext, every one's feeling is written out. There were words that were on repeat, such as palpable, that when read, sticks out and is annoying. The connections and relationships between some characters seems forced. Otherwise the book was a decent listen.

flawed and basic plot, poorly written. poorly executed
it's hard to listen to. the MC is supposed to be a 100yr old highly skilled, highly trained expert secret agent like 007 jumping to dozens of worlds. But he just flops around like a dummy. He doesn't have a tactical presence he just dives onto everything like a new hire, 1st year apprentice who is barely performing. useless book.
