Publisher's summary

Confucius was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history. The philosophy of Confucius emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity. His followers competed successfully with many other schools only to be suppressed in favor of the Legalists during the Qin Dynasty. Following the victory of Han over Chu after the collapse of Qin, Confucius' thoughts received official sanction and were further developed into a system known as Confucianism.

Fascinating story and great narrating

This is my first time hearing a Daniel Wiley book and I am going to add him to my must-have reading list. The narration by Kuczynski is stellar. He is enthusastic and easy to listen to. I love the powerful wisdom of Confucius. I highly recommend getting out your journal and writing down nuggets that you want to remember. I will keep going back and reading these sage sayings over and over again until they become part of my everyday living.
