interesting

my daughter and I enjoyed listening to this together. I found it a bit juvenile, I got enough out of it that I will probably read I pencil if I ever get the time.

Making Dr Read’s pamphlet understandable for kids

Connor makes Dr Read’s pamphlet, I Pencil, understandable for kids. It would be a good reminder for many adults as well. This large and vast world we live in is interconnected and the global economy touches each aspect.
Great job! The audio performance was well done.

Great message, Pretty good story

This is my 5 yr old's favorite from the series. He's very curious about how things get made, and this book does a terrific job of explaining how something as simple as a pencil requires cooperation of diverse peoples around the world. It's a wonderful children's introduction to the global market. The story isn't exactly dynamic, but the book does successfully make its point without excessive preaching while holding my child's interest. I wish Boyack got a little more creative in his story telling, but overall this book is effective and thought provoking. I'd recommend it for children 5-11. The audio makes a great companion to the physical book.
