About this listen

For a World War veteran like Mark Tudor, death is an old acquaintance. Unfortunately, a person never becomes truly numb to its sting.

A good Gajur gave his life. Will that sacrifice help bring the galaxy back to balance? Or topple known space into a war to end all wars? Armagost wasn't the only light snuffed prematurely. The attack destroyed an irreplaceable piece of Valint's life, as well.

Now, Mark must toe the delicate line between lawman and friend, partner and lover.

With those in power divided, the work has only begun. The galaxy no longer needs a maker of peace, but a lobbyist and negotiator. In order to deconstruct the entombed and corrupt system, Mark and the gang must stack the deck in their favor. If only things were that simple.

Someone is targeting Ja-Ra's people galaxy-wide. The hot-blooded murder kitties are out to avenge Jarls Vane. And the bureaucratic toads carry legendary grudges. But Mark's wrath is reserved for one group, and one group only.

Stillness.

The assassins will answer for the lives they took. And Mark will wrestle Tan back from their clutches if it means he's got to cut down every wicked Lyrae to do it.

Great story!

Very entertaining plot, with lots of action packed scenes. If you love action, with a twisting plot, and endearing characters, then this story is for you! Plug in and take off with Van's Gramps!

The Saga Continues

As usual the narration was spot on. I found the storyline addictive. I found myself wondering what was going to happen next.

Dedication to friends.

I liked the developing story. The continuing growth of the characters. The story is getting darker.

Another Exciting Read!

I am a follower of this series as well as the backyard starship series. I enjoy the plots and the action, but most of all enjoy the interaction between the characters! Each book in both of these series continues to develop the characters, bringing some important questions into play like do AI's deserve to have rights etc. Start at book 1 though don't skip a book or you will be lost!

A well written story, balanced and rich in depth!

Both authors and narrator are excellent! The story keeps the listener engaged and does not become repetitive. Well worth the time spent.

The poetic nature of the words were very powerful!

The words that were spoken were very poetic, but that’s not the only thing that made it a great story. The narrator had wonderful inflection and a lyrical sense of rhythm and made the words sing in a beautiful way.

More Peacekeeper goodness with a minor hitch

Another great installment in the series from JN Chaney. While the harsh language has started to ramp up in this series compared to his other Backyard Starship offerings, I was disappointed to get an F-bomb near the end of this one. not a huge deal but just disappointing to me as I have been recommending this to family friendly interested parties and I feel like this might hinder my future recommendations. otherwise it's full of more great story building with suspenseful twists, turns and emotion.

Moving Changes

I liked the twists and turns of the story having read many of the backyard Starship books the way it all fits together and fills in the gaps of the past for the future
