About this listen

With war threatening large on the Korean Peninsula, two massive convoys have departed Chinese ports. Dubbed the Northern and Southern invasion fleets, this collection of warships, landing vessels, and merchant ships are aimed straight at the island nation of Taiwan.

First though, they must cross the Taiwanese Strait. Past the twelve-mile limit of China’s territorial boundaries, American submarines and bombers are waiting to pounce. Attempting to vie for supremacy with the United States, China rapidly built up its blue water fleet. Will these modernized destroyers and frigates be able to fend off the American threat? Or will America’s years-old dominance prevail?

Believable and well delivered.

Very believe storyline and great narration. China and the US will meet one day, and this series gives a very good idea of what that would look like. Hopefully, China isn’t as close to par with us as the book depicts, very frightening scenario if so.

Great Series can’t wait for the next

John O’Brien knows so much about military weapons. I wonder if this book is required reading at the naval war college. This is my kind of read not too much fluff just the battle in great detail.

Far Too Many Words and Not Enough Story

I’m not really concerned about how the dust motes glistened in the moonlight in the cockpit. I’d rather hear more about the actual invasion and what is happening in Korea. Books 1-6 were awesome, and even though this book was a letdown, I hope the excellence returns in book 8.

I don’t know why I think each new book will be better

There are so many vets that could help this author tell these stories with much better accuracy and detail.

10 hours of the same

10 hours listening to the same events over and over. “The Crossing” should be an hour long. Waste of a credit.
