Publisher's summary

A man torn between two worlds. Both need him...neither wants him.

Groomed for a life amongst the English aristocracy, Lord Erroll Rushton is unexpectedly thrust back into his father's Scottish world when the Englishwoman he compromises refuses to marry him.

No gentleman breaks into a lady's bedchamber...but then, no lady sleeps with a pistol under her pillow.

Miss Eve Crenshaw will marry for love or won't marry at all. When London's most notorious rakehell breaks into Eve's bedroom in the dead of night and compromises her beyond repair, she plans a daring elopement that shocks even the earl.

To tame a highland earl

The narration was a little hard to understand at the beginning but I soon
Became accustomed to it..I am looking forward to listen to note tales about the MacLean family. Eve's voice was a little harsh at times is my
Only real criticism.

I really enjoyed listening to this book! The narrating was great! What a fun story this was to listen to. I listen to my audio books when I drive and I could not wait to get into my car in the morning and start my drive! I would definitely recommend this book!

Great story, with great dialog between characters!! Narrator was bad!! If read by different person it would be a 5 star book.

Great Story!

Lord Erroll Rushton was raised in the English aristocracy but found himself back in his father's highlands with a wife. Miss Eve Crenshaw pulled a pistol on him when he broke into her room. He thought he was in her sisters bedroom. Then a huge tangle starts and the tangle gets more twisted. I couldn't stop listening to this one, so I listened to it all in one day. Very enjoyable.

I Finished Listening But It Was Painful.

A narrator with a speech impediment where 'r' sounds like 'w' and the hero protagonist's given name is Errol. A heroine's voice characterized like a middle-aged shrew. A plot that reads like the author had pre-conceived elements of the storyline that were patched together like a bad sewing job. The reason for continuing to listen became a fascination with how bad it was. Can't remove it from my library fast enough.

Narrator SO bad I'm returning it!

A narrator with a serious speech impediment is NOT appropriate!
His name is Errol, but spoken Eh-Wal.... Other
examples include Ex-pee-wee-ince, Wavish (ravish), cwack (crack), bwasts (breasts), etc, etc...

Does no one edit? Listen? Interview?
AWFUL!

I gave the story 4 stars since that is the usual for this author.

Couldn't even finish

The first chapter was great. Loved the spunk of the heroine pulling a pistol on the hero. The craziness when he was discovered. After that, the story turned into a farce. Too many characters and all read in the same voice making it difficult to distinguish who was talking. Her getting kidnapped when she had him kidnapped. I hope the ending turns out well for those who make it through the book.
