Publisher's summary

A writer turned barbarian.

A human turned magical spellbook.

A tower that's going to kill them both if they don't band together.

My name is Randy; the noun, not the adjective. Actually, I've been informed that my name is a pronoun. But that part doesn't matter at the moment.

Somehow, we did it. Clovis and I survived the first floor of the tower. We were nearly killed in the process, yet we were able to class, make a few enemies, learn more about the mechanics of Genera, and have a hell of a time in doing it.

The only problem is, we need a strategy. We need to get better and improve our stats. The first floor was tough. But the second floor of the tower looks to be twice as difficult....

Genera has turned against us. The floor challenges are harder and harder as we go. From taming dragons to fighting the elven undead and everything in between. I mean everything. This fantasy world is relentless. It's complex and unpredictable. But it is also fun.

An axe in each hand, and nowhere to go but up, Genera is my chance to make something unique of my life.

Yet with every new challenge, the risk of instant death is real. This isn't a VRMMORPG. This is my real life, one that could end with just one false move or poor decision....

About the series:

Tokens and Towers is from Amazon best seller Harmon Cooper, author of Monster Hunt NYC and The Feedback Loop. This is Harmon's seventh LitRPG series, one jam-packed with genre Easter eggs, fantasy tropes turned upside down, a ton of heart, and a John Wick's worth of action.

This is Takeshi's Castle in LitRPG form

This story is pretty much Takeshi's Castle in LitRPG form, and I'm here for it. Can't wait for the third book.

So much fun

I read this book when it first came out and as much as I liked it then, listening to the story all over again was even more fun. Harmon Cooper has done so many great books over the years, but this series is so over the top. I mean one of the character is a talking book! If you want a break from reality and are looking for a ton of laughs, you need to check out the Token and Towers series.

Eragon is electric

I liked that Harmon used parts from other books including other LitRPG authors in the book. I am also glad the dragon’s name was Eragon not Puff.

like any sequel

like most sequels it doesn't quite capture the success of the first book, but damn if I didn't still have a fuck ton of fun...

Funny

there's not a lot of books that I laugh out loud often in! it kind of reminds me of Dungeon Crawler Carl but maybe a little lighter. it's just great all the way through

So good!!!

This book was so good. I had such a good time reading this book. I was laughing so hard on some of the jokes clovis & randy made. I recommend this book 100 percent. I honestly can't wait for the sequel.

the Narration was really good, Rebecca woods & Daniel do a superb Job narrating this book, there performance was so good. They got all the characters just right. this is most likely the best performance I've heard from Daniel & Rebecca. there such a good duo, I really think they deserve a complete 5 star.

I like the characters alot. Harmon did so good with the characters, they were written so well. I really like the conversations. they feel so alive, each and every character adds to the conversations making them so awesome. I feel like the puns have something to do with this, it's like real life mixed with fantasy. it's one of the reasons I like this series so much. I also really like how humorous this book is, tokens and towers is always making me laugh. i made it my task to find all the Easter eggs in this story, I feel I found most of them. i can just see randy swinging around his dual axes singing a old tale about a sailor, hopefully we'll see that in book three. I honestly think this book was better then book one. I could go on about other things about this book, but I'll end it here.

like I said before, I 100 percent recommend this book. when tokens and towers ended I found myself wanting more. I really wish it was longer. I just can't wait for the sequel!!!
