About this listen

With every day that passes, the Dark Overlord grows stronger.

For Ordinal to be safe, he must be stopped. As Windfall's army grows, so does the hope that Jim will prevail.

Jim's got other problems, though, including an inside-out demon, an elf plague, missing townspeople, and a lonely badger.

With Jim gone, Fenris tries to hold down the fort, but he has an Assassin running free in Windfall and a prickly pair of royals to deal with.

Does Ordinal really stand a chance against the ever growing darkness?

The best one so far!

Such a riot! I swear this is one of the rare series that truly keeps getting better with each installment. As long as Ryan Rimmell keeps writing, I'll keep buying his books. 🤌💋

10/10

It’s another great installment to the noob series. Action packed and funny. As always johnathan mcclain was near flawless, one of the best narrators I’ve listened too. Cannot recommend the book and this series enough.

So much noobness!

Another amazing installment. Laugh out loud. Maybe not if your humor is too classy. Can't wait until the next book.

The Plot

It is thickening, like Thanksgiving gravy. It is going to be a good gravy.

Best supporting characters keeping this story goin

Beta Jim has became annoying at this point. His too soft dumb dumb personality has gotten his allies killed while the bad guys seem to always survive and cause more death. And the ending was just awful. All that story for so very little payoff.

The supporting characters are by for some of the best I've heard in a story and McClain is a huge factor of that being the case. The guy is an amazing VA and brings them to life especially Badgelore and Shart. I love the quips and comebacks for these guys.

I love this series and will keep going but I find myself rolling my eyes more at this point from the MC saying and doing something beyond dumb. Also you can make a drinking game out of him starting with the phrase "On earth..."
