Publisher's summary

The circus is coming to town, and people keep dying.

Jim and Kram are back in their second hilarious romp around their secluded Southeast Alaskan island. With a serial killer at large (a cereal serial killer, to be more accurate), an unlucky entrepreneur with an out-of-control facial tic, and the nephew of a notorious crime boss setting up shop on the island, Lieutenant Jim Wekle will have his work cut out for him.

Throw in a group of stranded circus freaks, a gorilla on the loose, an FBI agent who's on the last leg of her sputtering career, and a brand new batch of antics from Kram, and this adventure just keeps getting more outrageous by the minute.

Fun characters in an entertaining quirky mystery.

This is the 2nd book in this series and both were wonderfully fun and entertaining. The story is full of eccentric characters and side plots. This book is good clean fun and worth your time.

It’s nice to laugh

The first one was better but I’m going to get the next one 😊the romantic female character is kind of rude, but it’s still a good story

Nice story

Very nice easy going murder mystery. All the characters were able to carry on the investigation.

Fun, but a bit odd ball

The story was entertaining, and many of the characters were a hoot. The book didn’t really what it was, though, ranging from crime thriller to slapstick comedy. It was a bit disorienting. Suspension of disbelief was very difficult at times, as the author has hardened criminals calling each other names like, “butt licker,” and “scrotum sniffer,” which came off—like the slapstick bits—feeling very juvenile. The narrator was good, but some of his voices sounded like South Park satire voices, so that was a bit off putting as well. Overall, however, the book is fun, and the author does have real skill, so it’s hard to rate it too harshly.
