Publisher's summary

Two days. That's all it's supposed to take.

But when Mylas suddenly discovers the truth, it isn't two days anymore.

Private investigator Mylas Grey is anticipating photographer Whitney Engel's visit to Washington. He's been planning their itinerary, looking forward to spending time with her, and wondering if the spark between them will ignite into a roaring fire.

He isn't anticipating having to do a favor for Senator Allen. However, the favor isn't supposed to take more than two days. All he has to do is take a trip up to Baltimore, spend a couple of days investigating a matter for another senator, and then he'll have the rest of the week to entertain Whitney.

But then...

He wasn't anticipating having an encounter with a psychopath.

When Mylas realizes the man he's investigating has a dark side to him, and he starts digging into his background a little further, it sets off a series of events that puts his own life, as well as Whitney's, in grave danger.

Which means...

He must rely on his faith to overcome the danger.

Mylas is a smart man, a highly skilled investigator, and a man of means. Yet, when he's confronted with a threat he never imagined, he must depend on his fledgling faith or he could lose everything.

Book two in the Mylas Grey Mystery Series is a clean, nail-biting mystery, involving complex personalities, developing relationships, and a man learning about his newfound faith.

Politics, Love And Revenge

I listened to this on Audible. Two Days Taken is the second book in the Mylas Grey Mystery series.

Mylas is loaned out by Senator Allen to investigate another senator's daughter's boyfriend. The senator thinks the boyfriend is only after her money. Mylas' new girlfriend, Whitney comes into town from Columbia, Missouri and joins the investigation.
I liked the twists, turns, and the real motives behind boyfriend’s actions, which I found petty and unhinged. It was great to see how Mylas & his team worked well together, Whitney’s & Mylas’ relationship develop, and his faith grow.

The story kept me engaged until the very end. Looking forward to book 3.

Mylas is just awesome

Another outstanding audible from Luana. The narrator does such a great job with each character you just want to keep listening. The series is is one of my favorites. What I really like it the way religion is played into the plot. ALL of Luana's books are the way books should be written. Enjoy the thrills without proximity it sexual plots. THANK you!

Another great novel

Wow!!! Ms Luana has done it again! This character is established well and in this 2nd novel he leaves no room lacking for captivating action and suspense where the bad guy doesn't get away. Makes you wonder how she comes up with all this amazing dialogue. It's riveting.

This is another great mystery the Milass has to investigate. Starting a relationship with Whitney and trying to get an investigation completed is not always easy. I recommend listening to this book. This is a wonderful story.

Exciting

I love how the narrator puts a chuckle in his voice during the humorous parts. Not every reader does that and it adds so much to the reading. I applaud Mr. Twitchell!

Will Mylas and Whitney’s relationship survive the terror and excitement from her visit to Washington? I hope to find out in book 3.

When Faith is on the Line

The narrator, Steve Twitchell, does an excellent job of engaging the personality of Mylas Grey. Mylas has Whitney coming to DC but Senator Allen want him to a favor for another Senator and it only should take two days. Two days til Whitney gets to Washington. Mylas makes a lot of mistakes in this story, but the one thing that keeps him alive is his newfound faith in God. This story is action-packed and full of unexpected twists, and for heart-stopping minutes everything is on the line.

Solid 2.5 stars

It is okay. I have heard all 5, with this one being the worst of the five simply because of the orange juice scene, which made the main character look incredibly irresponsible. Throughout the series, he is a pretty slow investigator, and by slow, I mean pouring cold molasses, but I am not sure many strangers who witnessed that juice situation would have let it continue, much less a person sent there to investigate.

The stories are not bad, but they have very little suspense, action, or humor, What is odd is that while everything else is spelled out in sometimes too much detail, the romantic storyline keeps jumping forward without much explanation. I kept expecting them to break up.

The deep voice narration mixed with the slow storyline makes for great bedtime listening.
