Publisher's summary

Infinite power at your fingertips—and in the hands of your enemies.

After the alien invasion, Anya Nowicki thought she'd settle into the easy life: a cushy government job, living in the world's most advanced city with her new girlfriend, and generally not dealing with anything more dangerous than meetings that should have been emails. She was right—for a while.

However, Earth's recent success against the ravenous gnosiphages has drawn the eyes of other extraterrestrial life. Humanity's unprecedented growth across fields of technology and magic thanks to the Archive has the greater powers across the galaxy worried. They've sent three powerful warriors to observe Earth's hosts and—if necessary—put them down for good.

Worse, the brief period of global unification mankind experienced during the invasion is already starting to strain. A shadowy group of Archive-enhanced terrorists has begun to emerge, and if they're not found and stopped, it could mean global war.

With enemies closing in at home and from beyond, Anya and her friends will have to watch their backs or lose everything they've fought so hard to gain.

This book contains strong language and graphic violence.

Not bad but not great.

Overall, good book with good world building. Ending kinda sucked ass, cried a bit. Eagerly awaiting book 4. Hopefully it has more progression and more alien focused.

Still good

This one is a bit more cloak and dagger, but also not too convoluted. Some fairly obvious twists, but at least the MC and most of her friends aren't total morons. I look forward to the next book expanding further from earth, and learning more about the galactic community.

Really fun

I enjoy all the characters and the world that exists in this book. Two big thumbs up for everything.

I mean if you're here on the 3rd book in the series I don't honestly know what else you want me to say. It's the same characters we've seen in books 1 and 2, plus some new ones that I don't want to spoil. Then there's what happens at the end which really sets us up for book 4.

I guess the biggest thing that I anticipated happening at the start of the book did not happen there. Then there was action and drama.

Great pacing, well developed characters

World building is slow but works for the plot. Pace of the action is fast with slow moments of character development that don’t feel out of place. Great story so far

This one is bad

I’ve enjoyed the previous books. I had some issues with the main character, but as a story as a whole, I enjoyed it. This book, though I feel like every character has gotten dumber.lEspecially the main character. I’m thinking about returning the book.

Political garbage

Series started off good. But in this book it got into politics way too much and just went downhill. No one that reads this type of book wants to hear about crap like that. Like half the book is just political maneuvering and it completely derails the story. Like I thought I was here to read about people with super powers fighting aliens, not a discourse about power hungry politicians. It just sucks because the story could have been so good but the author just had to ruin it.
