About this listen

My Name is Otto Schneider and I am a wizard. I think.

When a missing person case brings me into contact with the only other supernatural creature I have ever seen, it’s not long before I am ass-deep in trouble.

The police don’t like me, there’s a clandestine organisation who want me to join them, and what might be a demon trying to catch me. When I refuse to play ball with any of them, my life starts to get tough, but I had no idea how low they might stoop to force my hand.

Soon they will find out just how badly they underestimated me. I hope. Have I bitten off more than I can chew?

Somehow, I need to escape captivity, cross to a mysterious demon realm, rescue a girl, and find my way back. Easy, right? It might be if they hadn’t confiscated my wand.

Thankfully, I’m not alone, I have a powerful werewolf as an ally. If only he wasn’t such an annoying, snarky d-bag.

Snarky Heaven/Hell retelling Epic Urban Fantansy

A fantastic start of a new series! Lots of laughs, magic, fights, creatures and an interesting retelling of heaven and hell, angles and demons. This was fast paced with plenty of action. Otto and the other characters are likable with unique personalities. Highly Recommended.

Ohhhhh! This was a Great 1st in Series!!

I like this Audible book Very, Very much. I enjoyed the way the author presented the MC, who With no other idea of what he was decided to call himself a Wizard. This storyline was fun and enjoyable and I believe many people will love to read or listen to this book

Coffee, Dragons & Poison

Otto was 14 when he discovered he had an ability that needed to be kept secret. He is a wizard who is mostly self taught. Now he's on a mission to find the man he saw in his house the night his wife went into a coma. Unfortunately the police do not like him and he finds himself spending alot of time in the jail on flimsy charges. Then he meets a police woman who believes in the supernatural. In trying to solve his personal case he gets drawn into something a lot bigger and draws the police woman into the mystery. Along the way he meets a werewolf and forms a friendship, of sorts, with him. Otto finds he is not alone any more.
Tim Toddhurst draws you into the story and keeps you enthralled.

Awesome

This is the first book in a new series that I found to be awesome. Otto is a wizard who has had to teach himself the magic that he has. All of the characters are interesting and unique in their way. There is lots of magic and humor throughout. The narrator does a wonderful job of bring each character out in their own unique way.

A very different Steve Higgs

This book was significantly different from the culinary capers which was truly hilarious. This was dark and either it wasn’t as funny as described or the deep narration without much modulation didn’t indicate humor.
I’m done with the series.

The way the author consistently described women and broke them down to basic looks body type and clothing

I really wanted to like this book number one. I had a hard time with the narrator not the worst narrator, but I feel could have been better as far as the content I got halfway through the book and felt I needed to stop the way the author continues to break down the women characters to basic essentials as if they’re pretty or not young or not dressed nicely or not was just too much to take- these descriptions added zero to the Stoney and felt like an easy choice- male authors continue to fail when writing for women characters - it ruined the story for me - I lost respect for this author and it’s story -
