Brothers of Odin - Piper and Vin

This is my first book by this author. It's also the first book in the Brothers of Odin Series. It's a good story that tells what happened after Piper and Vin were somehow drawn together by a mysterious force they couldn't resist and shared a one-night stand in Vegas.

It's an enjoyable story to which you must pay close attention, D.L. Beechinor chose to tell the story in a mix of timelines all mixed up and slowly revealing everything, quite a few times I found myself rewinding and listening again to ensure I was following everything correctly but it was well worth listening to.

I loved the chemistry between Piper and Vin it was palpable and undeniable. The heat and the spice were evident from the moment they met. Piper and Vin were both likeable and following along on their journey was exciting as they worked together to fight the bad guy as well as accepting that they were fated mates.

The narration is by Ian Erickson a new narrator to me but one I enjoyed listening to.

Vin

Vin is a CEO, and takes what he wants. He decides Piper is his destined mate. Piper wakes up handcuffed in a lush hotel. They did not get off to a good start, and continue to clash as they learn to live together. I found this to be an interesting story. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was okay. There was a time in the book I was lost and had to reread to see if I missed something. Book jump to another time/subject. I may or may not continue the series

It was good.

Piper and Vin got roped into a one night stand in Vegas by some mysterious force. The spice was flowing from the moment they met. Both characters were likable and their journey to their HEA had a few exciting moments as they fought a very bad guy and also came to terms with the fact that they were fated mates.

This was the kind of story you have to pay close attention to. The author chose to tell the story as a patchwork of several timelines cut to pieces, shuffled, and revealed slowly. I found myself rewinding a few times to make sure I was following the events correctly.

This is the first in the series. I enjoyed Piper and Vin's story. However, what has me looking forward to the next story is the total left turn the author took in the last few paragraphs of the epilogue. Piper and Vin's daughter's story might be next and it's going to be a doozy.

A very intriguing and interesting premise

A very intriguing and interesting premise with the paranormal/mythology aspect. I should probably re-listen later, as I think it's just my mental exhaustion, etc coloring my rating. I struggled focusing, and the accents although great, also gave me struggles, but as I said I believe it has more to do with my place in life at moment. I definitely enjoyed the story, and am genuinely curious about what happens for the others in the story. And the world that was build was very interesting. Narrators brought the characters to life with major accents.
