My favorite book but with some production issues.

What happens when good wins and decides to the extra mile to make sure evil is forever defeated? The end of the world it seems. At least it will if an Assassin, a thief, a Druid, a Black Knight, and an Sorceress fail to bring back the dark and stop a blinding apocalypse. The story my feel at times to be just the classic story with the roles reversed but it’s just so much fun to see a world where things like unicorns are the dangerous monsters and light is not as good as it thinks. My only complaint is with the sound quality. Weird scratching sounds some times pop up and it sometimes sounds like the switch narrators. But I love this story and have no problem recommending it to those who like classic fantasy with a twist.

wonderful story that brought me into D&D

I found the paperback in a library sale . I read every page like it was a gift. I gave the copy to a friend who was feeling down. within 2 months we were playing D&D together . my Samander assassin and his Robin centar bard. when I saw this in the listings on Audible. I knew I had to go to the 6 lands again.

Great book

As the book is out of print, using Audible is a great way to enjoy it. The narrator voice is easy to listen to. Overall 5 out of 5!

one of my childhood faves

if you like Discworld by Pratchett, I think you will like this.

I've been hoping to find a copy of this book in used bookstores for decades.
I checked it out of the library as a teen, and have been so sad that it is out of print.

Wow!

this book is incredibly unique and wonderfully written. If you've ever played Dungeons & Dragons or intend to run an evil campaign, it is a must-read. it is imaginative and exciting.

A twist to good and evil!

Excellent narration, good story. But I wasn't very fond of the style of writing. I kept getting lost in what was happening over time.

The book is heavally influenced by D&D and was shock full of nostalgi. I would recommend this book to anyone who is into fantasy and D&D.

When good goes to far, villians must become heroes

The tale of a time when the scales of goodness and evil tipped so much that villians were needed in order to shift the balance back and stop the light from destroying everything. A group of six villians team up and use their unique gifts to save the world from the unwitting good guys! This is the story of their quest to collect the pieces of the key and open a portal to darkness and save everything! I couldnt get enough of this book! The writting brought the images in my head to life and brought me on the journey of a lifetime! It was a beautiful mix reminiscent of lord of the rings and dungeon and dragons! I loved the twist in the plot making the villians the good guys and the heroes the bad guys! And yet... they were still villians in every sense of the word! And Daniel Nicolai did an amazing job narrating, truly bringing this book to life! Truly a marvolous experience and tale!
