Incredibly helpful and engaging cover to cover
I have been a follower of Dr. Conte for a while. I have listened to most of his youtube videos and I love his approach, analogy, and down to earth way of relating and speaking. This book is about so much more than anger and provides an incredible roadmap to learn how to live a more peaceful life in the moment. He incorporates many teachings from Daoism, Buddhism and others as well as his incredible experience being a therapist for decades at maximum security prisons. I cannot speak highly enough about him and I am thankful for how his approach and teachings have been transformative in my life. I am still 'practicing' as he would say, but I hope over time that his teachings will become a lifestyle and not as intentional as I begin this journey. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is absolutely NOT boring and I am on my second read and will continue to re-read to absorb. Thanks Dr. Conte!!!! Back To you I wish .. Much Peace!

life changing
Dr Christian Conte's work has changed the trajectory of my life. it's been years now since I've finished this book for the first time. since then I've purchased a hard copy and reread, relistened to this book over and over again. I've taken notes, I've applied the concepts to my life, I've even purchased and worked through the anger management workbook that Dr Christian Conte coauthored.
I quote passages and stories from this book all the time, to myself and to others.
although there are many portions of the book that have deeply impacted me, there is one small quote which I say to myself durring difficult moments and which always helps to strengthen my resolve and soften my fears/anger:
"Everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end... Including this."
I cannot recommend this book enough, if you struggle to control your anger, if you have explosive rage, if you are full of fury, you need this book. you're going to fall in love with how gentle loving validating and kind this book treats you. you're going to learn to fall in love with yourself and you're going to learn how to focus your power through softness instead of through anger, and regain control of yourself and control of your life.<3
